While watching the film, you should keep a critical eye
toward the concept of tribes, values, moral worldviews, and culture. In other
words, you should draw on material that is talked about in the class(I will post class notes here), to gain a
better understanding of the ways that culture and socialization can affect,
change, and react to social structure.

Whether you like, dislike, agree, or disagree is not the
point of the discussion.This
is not a movie review, you are, in fact, conducting critical qualitative
research, and thus your answer should focus on the sociological aspects of the
movie.

Remember, you should be conducting a critical analysis of
what you see in the film. Therefore, you will be giving your analysis and
supporting your analysis with social and moral theories from the readings and
lectures so far.

Your analysis should be supported by the concepts and
theories covered so far this quarter.

Structure of your paper:

1. 
State the main thesis

Summarize the
interaction of the movie with the theory that you are applying

3. 
Critical Discussion:
This is the main body of paper where you explain your analysis of the film;
this should include sections supporting your main thesis (2 or 3 points
usually–however, one strong argument can suffice) and your analysis should use
theories covered in the course.

4. 
Conclusion: Reframe
your thesis and argument, explain significance (“so what?”). End your essay by
throwing a spear through the center of the target. Show how you have made a
plausible and powerful argument. 

5. 
Length: Approximately
600 words.

Your
grade will be based on how well you:

1. Follow these

evidence from the film and use theory from class readings and lectures;

 You also need to choose one country outside of the United States and research the culture, norms, and conditions of that country.   How the culture is different from the United States and how might that culture affect business operations or dealings if you were assigned by your company to work in that country for a period of time.  What ethical issues may arise as result of cultural differences?  Determine whether the country is individualist or collectivist and how power distance can be characterized in that country.  What does your research say about how negotiations are conducted and what types of activities or conduct are accepted or not accepted? 

Write your findings in 2-3 paragraphs.  Be prepared to discuss your findings in class. Your paper is due at the end of class.  Be sure to cite to your sources.

Make a summary
of the attached Reading and also answer the attached questions. (Tow

1) Make an introduction

cannot be less than 4 pages single-spaced or 8 pages double-spaced. The most
important thing is to summarize all important points and information in the
reading. (Do not leave any title or bold word in the reading without
explanation and summarizing). Everything in the reading needs to be summarized
in direct, simple, and organized way that represent your understating of the
reading.

6) Do not
forget the conclusion, citation, references, and organized the look of the
paper and make ready to be submitted.

7) You need to
critique the reading and answer the following questions (very important)

the authors consider all relevant information and limitation? If not, how might
this have changed the conclusions?

Does
