There you will find an organization for people who are consultants (both internal and external), trainers, and other workplace leadership professionals. This website is the national ATD, located in Virginia, close to Washington, D.C. The ATD organization also serves as a lobby function to represent all of the issues of importance to professionals in this field. For example, when Washington wanted to cut tuition reimbursement for education, ATD was there lobbying. There are also local chapters of ASTD/ATD, and there might be one in your city!

Dealing with Two Populations

Inferential
statistics involves forming conclusions about a population parameter.
We do so by constructing confidence intervals and testing claims about a
population mean and other statistics. Typically, these methods deal
with a sample from one population. We can extend the methods to
situations involving two populations (and there are many such
applications). This deliverable looks at two scenarios.

Concept being Studied

Your
focus is on hypothesis tests and confidence intervals for two
populations using two samples, some of which are independent and some of
which are dependent. These concepts are an extension of hypothesis
testing and confidence intervals which use statistics from one sample to
make conclusions about population parameters.

Is there actual regret present in the text? Is it a situation where one might express regret for something that has happened and yet the character or writer does not? What does the acknowledgement or lack of acknowledgement of regret suggest about the writer, character, or situation? What does the text suggest about how we might face regretful situations or moments in our own lives?

Keep in mind that all of your examples do not have to be demonstrating the same type of regret. You could easily have one example where there is active regret in the story or poem and then two other examples where regret is lacking. It will entirely depend on what you see happening in the texts.
