Assignment: Assessing Your Writing
Each week, you will work on revising your draft, incorporating feedback from your workshop faculty, and applying instruction provided in each week’s Discussion. Please carefully review the feedback you receive on your drafts each week. The feedback you receive will not be a line-by-line edit, but, rather, your faculty will identify trends in your writing and provide specific examples of how to address your specific needs. It is your responsibility to incorporate the feedback throughout your draft. You will also want to draw on the Learning Resources provided for the weekly Discussions in your revisions.

Each week, you have the option of revising work previously submitted or providing previously unreviewed work for feedback and revision. (Note: Workshop faculty will spend approximately 45 minutes on each review. Depending on the extent of feedback the faculty needs to provide, he or she may or may not be able to review the entire submission.)
Remember, advancing your draft is an iterative process involving a cycle of drafting and revising your content. Practicing this process over the next weeks will build skills and competence that you can use throughout your proposal process.
During the workshop, please continue to work with your doctoral chair and doctoral committee regarding the content of your proposal.
