Select any example of a visualization or infographic, maybe your own work or that of others. The task is to undertake a deep, detailed ‘forensic’ like assessment of the design choices made across each of the five layers of the chosen visualization’s anatomy. In each case your assessment is only concerned with one design layer at a time.

For this task, take a close look at the annotation choices:

  1. Start by identifying all the annotation features deployed, listing them under the headers of either project or chart annotation
  2. How suitable are the choices and deployment of these annotation features? If they are not, what do you think they should have been?
  3. Go through the set of ‘Influencing factors’ from the latter section of the book’s chapter to help shape your assessment and to possibly inform how you might tackle this design layer differently
  4. Also, considering the range of potential annotation features, what would you do differently or additionally?

CIS 336 Strayer Wk2 Business Models for Competitive Dynamics Discussion Computer Science Assignment Help

Assignment 1: Models for Competitive Dynamics

Due Week 2 and worth 100 points

Competition has, since the 1990s, led to wider gaps between industry leaders and laggards. There are more “winner-take-all” environments and greater churns among industry sector rivals. We have witnessed sharp increases in quality and quantity of IT (Information Technology) investments. We’ve seen striking competitive dynamics, particularly in sectors that spend the most on IT. Some of the competitive dynamics models include the Destroy Your Business (DYB) strategy, the Grow Your Business (GYB) strategy, the Information Systems (IS) and strategic advantage, and the social business strategy.

Write a four to five (4-5) page paper in which you:

  1. Compare and contrast the DYB and GYB strategies in terms of the ability to sustain a business in the marketplace over the long term, to be competitive against rivals, and profitability.
  2. Examine the “cannibalization” strategy and determine if it is or is not a better strategy compared to the DYB strategy for growth, competitiveness, and market leadership. Provide two business examples.
  3. Determine whether changes in business strategy should entail reassessment of IS. Provide three reasons to support your position.
  4. Examine how firms can use social IT in alignment with organizational strategy and IS strategy. Consider collaborative capabilities and what, how, and who should use social IT for a social business strategy.
  5. Use at least three quality resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and similar websites do not qualify as quality resources.

Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:

  • This course requires use of new Strayer Writing Standards (SWS). The format is different than other Strayer University courses. Please take a moment to review the SWS documentation for details.

The specific course learning outcomes associated with this assignment are:

  • Analyze the most common competitive dynamics models for business sectors.

Grading for this assignment will be based on answer quality, logic / organization of the paper, and language and writing skills

Capella University Unethical Behaviors Discussion Writing Assignment Help

please use attached guide

Hello everyone,

I hope my post is organized in a way that is easy to follow and understand. Please let me know if you need any clarification.

I feel that more people need to discuss this exact topic, or these topics. We all need to have a more solid grasp of unethical behavior and human rights. We all need to be more empathetic and understanding of how we are treating each other.

Definition of Unethical Behavior:

Unethical behavior is behavior and actions that effect the life and feelings of others in a negative way (Paul & Elder, 2012). As an individual, it is important that one is aware of their actions and how their actions We are aware of social mores and norms, and though certain actions are socially acceptable, it does not mean that actions are ethical. It is important that people able to control their behaviors and actions.

Example:

When we think of unethical behavior, we usually think about how this goes against the social norms and can hurt another person. There are many basic examples that we can talk about, such as lying, manipulation, and deception. I feel that all of these examples can be rectified by teaching children how to be honest and ethical at a young age and actually punishing them if they do not. Children, as stated by Paul & Elder (2012) are very aware of when they are treated unethically and need to be guided when they treat others unethically (p. 346).

A more specific example of unethical behavior would be the more recent situations with famous families paying money to have their children get into colleges that they are not qualified to attend. Some of the families paid people to help their children cheat on their entrance exams or pre-qualifying exams. Some families paid athletic departments to say that their children competed in a specific sport, when they did not. Any type of lying and cheating is inherently unethical. The only way to rectify this type of situation is to change the rules and the vetting process for entrance and acceptance into college. I do feel that the punishments that these families received are “good”, but I do feel that the consequences should be more severe.

Definition of Violation of Human Rights:

In order to under what the violation of human rights and understanding of human rights is important. Human rights are associated with more legal terms and treating all humans equally (Narcisco & Mezzaroba, 2012). A violation of a human right would be any type of action that infringes upon a person’s legal rights. There will be unethical behavior that comes with the violation of human rights, but there is a difference between the two.

Example:

An example of the violation of human rights would be human trafficking. This is something that happens to people of all ages. There are many rights that are violated and many unethical behaviors that are attached to this example, but I am going to try to concentrate on the violation of human rights only. When a person is taken and sold, or born and sold into sex trafficking, they have become property. Paul and Elder (2012) gave a brief summer on page 352 of the list of human rights that came from “The Universal Declaration of Human Rights”. On this list, it states that a person cannot be sold into slavery or subject to any sort of inhumanity by another. There are a few rights that are violated when someone is made to be a part of human trafficking, and it is hard to just talk about these two, but this is what I will mention. Human trafficking is disgusting and deplorable… nobody should be forced to something that violates they human rights.

In regard to rectifying this situation, it is difficult. However, law enforcement is continuously working on this issue. Also, I feel that the more we educate people on this situation and bring light to this situation, the less likely people will be to participate. If we start to make this issue more mainstream, and really push to figure out who is behind this, more people will be aware. We can educate the younger generation so they are more cautious, and we can expose the people that are responsible. Once the people that are responsible are exposed, they will start giving the information needed to catch all of the others that are a part of this disgusting web.

As I stated before, unethical behavior and violation of human rights are very much intertwined. A person can act unethically and bother people, but not violate their human rights. Nobody should be lied to or deceived, but it does happen. However, when human rights are violated, there is always unethical behavior. I truly feel that the main way this can be handled is to start teaching children about respect for others and empathy at a very young age. Also, children need to see the consequences of their actions when they act unethically. Maybe, we can treat the problem before it gets started, if that makes sense.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post,

Jennifer

Dealing with ethical dilemmas can be difficult and tricky at best. The interaction between the parties involved and the situation will have a significant impact on the final decision. The below scenario is designed to get you to think about how your personal ethical values might be challenged if you had to make such a difficult decision. Make sure to truly think about your personal value system and be willing to support why you made the decision and why it did or did not cause you to adjust your ethical framework. Additionally, make sure to cite your sources as you convey back your response (for example: say, “according to Dr. Kline’s presentation on Ethical Dilemmas, leaders challenged with an ethical dilemma will …” or “Northouse suggests that…”).

  • Your response to each question must be at least 200 words

Scenario:

Tony, a data analyst for a major casino, is working after normal business hours to finish an important project. He realizes that he is missing data that had been sent to his coworker Robert. Upon doing so, Tony sees an open email regarding gambling bets Robert placed over the last several days with a local sports book. All employees of the casino are forbidden to engage in gambling activities to avoid any hint of conflict of interest.

Tony knows he should report this but would have to admit to violating the company’s information technology regulations by logging into Robert’s computer. If he warns Robert to stop his betting, he would also have to reveal the source of his information.

  1. What does Tony do in this situation?
  2. What are the possible consequences of his choice to report or not report the incident?
  3. How might such a decision require you to amend your own ethical framework?
