RE: Week 3 Discussion

Good Evening Class and Professor,

The friends should consider the following factors when considering a form of business ownership:

Continuity and transferability: These are important if one partner decides to quit the business, dies, or they want to sell the business.

Financing: The two friends should consider their source of financing for the business, for instance bank loans or savings before choosing the form of business ownership.

Risk tolerance: Businesses are prone to risks including lack of clients which may result to closing of the business, fire, or lack of resources to run the business. One should evaluate chances of risk and how they will handle it before selecting form of business ownership.

General Partnership would be a good form of ownership that will best serve the organization now and in the future. The partnership will allow the two friends to share on the legal liabilities, financial, profits, and assets thus making it easy to start the business. This form of ownership is good when the two individuals do not have all the required information, finance, and knowledge to start the business. However, a partnership makes it easy to start the business as the participating individuals can contribute what is missing in the business.

The following criteria helps in evaluating different franchise opportunities:

1. The market: The first thing to check is whether the market has been defined. Market availability is essential in effective operation of a franchise.

2. Company history: It is important to evaluate company history to identify when the company started, its achievement so far and the challenges it has encountered in its operations, and how it has managed to overcome the challenges. This information is essential before a franchise move or agreement.

Kumon Franchise: This is the smartest choice or strategy in education franchising. The franchise basically deals with tutoring and it has operated for the past 18 years.

Benefits

1. It has made education easy because students can seek for additional information.

2. It has enabled distance learning.

3. It has helped people to acquire more knowledge.

4. It is helpful, especially during the Covid-19 era.

Limitations.

Some people do not have money to pay for extra couching.

It is only available to people who have access to internet connectivity.

RE: Week 3 Discussion

Good morning,

*Chick-fil-a is a company that has taken on the consumer by creating the concept of eating healthy. They offer a full menu of chicken-based meals that are health conscious and the alternative to most fast-food restaurants to serve primarily beef options. By keeping up with the change in the fast-food industry and focusing on the customer’s needs by continuing to offer outstanding customer service, they will last through the 21st century. People around the world enjoy going to fast-food restaurants and not only given an alternative food option but having a positive food experience. Other fast foods establishments serve only chicken such as Popeyes and Kentucky fried chicken. However, these companies don’t cater to a health conscious customer making Chick-fil-a dominate in its market.

*Target is a company that stands out the most among its competitors. Its considered the most recognizable , with its signature symbol, the bullseye, and the mascot dog in red, which makes it’s identifiable to the customer. Target has been able to brand itself to stand alone from its competition. You are setting the bar high when it comes to shopping at discounted stores without feeling as if your at a discount store. Target has a rumarket focused on young families and is not trying to be all things to everybody. They have a particular market that they focus on and serve. Over the past years, Target has been able to launch its namesake brands, which include fashion and home products. If Target can stay on this path of focusing on its target audience and expanding its brand, it can outlast its competition.

*Star bucks competitive advantage is its product differentiation. They offer excellent customer experience and quality coffee, which they call the “Star bucks Experience” The focus doesn’t just stop with its customer service, but with its well designed stores that offer good ambiance and in addition to well trained staff. The company had built a definite advantage with its global network, premium quality, and brand image are things I would consider as significant strengths. The culture of Star bucks is of warm and belonging to relax and enjoy your coffee or an extended workplace for many corporate workers. This company will outlast its competitors in the 21st century.

Internet capabilities in today’s world help all of the brands I have chosen. Star bucks has implemented the Internet and phone apps for you not only to order its coffee or beverages for use at home, but you can order a drink on the go for pickup or convenient service in it establishments. Chick-fil-a increase its sales by making it convenient for its customers. Targets utilization of the Internet is primarily for ordering on line and setting up wedding and baby shower registries.

RE: Week 3 Discussion

Hello Professor and classmates,

Three brands that use their brands for a competitive advantage and I expect to continue doing so in the 21st century are:

1. Apple: Apple is globally known as the major player in cell phones and other personal computing devices. They have created a strong, desirable brand that has customers clamoring to pre-order of new generations. While this drives a huge amount of sales for the company, this product line has been overtaken by Apple’s service endeavors. Among their service lines are their app store and amazon music. Combine these two with apple tv and other service endeavors it is easy to see that they are positioning themselves to lead the market in hardware and service technology (1).

2. Disney – 2022 will be Disney’s 100th year in business and they have grown and embraced trends in the entertainment and supporting businesses in a major way. Theme parks and resorts are strategically located across the globe to provide fun and entertainment to all. They have done extensive mergers and acquisitions as well incorporating ABC network, Hulu, ESPN, Pixar, Disney Publishing, Vacation Clubs and the list could go on and on. While all these vertical lines of business relate to the core mission of the parent company. This is why I believe they will remain not only relevant but thriving in the 21st Century. It is their embrace of new ideas and foresight in staying in tune with customers’ desires.

3. BMW – Having over a 100-year history already, BMW has a strong brand name that many equate with luxury and status. BMW proved in the early years that they were adaptable when after WW l they were not allowed to manufacture cars. Instead of folding, they restrategized and went into other forms of transportation that were powered by motors, like railroads. Eventually, they were able to launch racing cars, motorcycles though which they established themselves firmly in the market. Fast forward to today and BMW is coveted globally and they have diversified into luxury motor yachting sport, golfing sports, motor sports and adventure sports. They utilize the term sport in many of their product category to highlight their founding, after all the M in BMW stands for motorsports.

These brands do a great job utilizing the internet already. They should continue to make sure that they stay not only current but ahead of the curve when it comes to security issues and their on-line presence. Protecting proprietary information both internally and externally (customer) is going to be even more critical as advances in the internet evolve. Also using AI in ways to target prospects will be an easy way for them all to meet and exceed fiscal financial targets.

CMPSC MATH 451 Penn State University Matlab Code Project Programming Assignment Help

can you help me debug? or write your own

For the current homework,

you want to find the root of a

complex-valued function f of a

complex number z=z_1+iz_2:

f(z) = z^3 – a

where a is also complex, a=a_1+ia_2.

Here, z_1,z_2,a_1,a_2 are all real and i = sqrt{-1}.

A complex number f=f_1+if_2 is zero only if BOTH its

real (f_1) and imaginary (f_2) parts are zero, where

both f_1 and f_2 are real.

So, first substitute z=z_1+iz_2 and a=a_1+ia_2 into f

and find f_1 and f_2 in terms of z_1,z_2,a_1,a_2.

You will find that f_1 and f_2 are (real and) nonlinear

functions of real variables z_1,z_2.

Then, use the vector version of Newton’s method from class

to find the solutions z_1,z_2 to (the real, nonlinear) equations

f_1(z_1,z_2)=0

f_2(z_1,z_2)=0

That is, if vector Z=[z_1 z_2]’, F=[f_1 f_2]’ then Newton’s method is

Z_new – Z_old = – J^{-1} F

where J is the 2×2 Jacobian dF/dZ and the whole right-hand-side is

evaluated at Z_old.

Finally, in case some of your have never worked with complex numbers (I hope that’s not true), if a,b,c,d are real then

(a+ib)(c+id) = (ac-bd) + i(ad+bc)

Hope this helps….

ENG 4 BHS Their Eyes Were Watching God Zora Neale Hurston Discussion Humanities Assignment Help

Zora Neale Hurston’s Their Eyes Were Watching God

ENG 4

Brennen, Dilyard, & DiTurno

DUE DATE: Sunday, October 18, 2020, by 11:59 p.m.

Choose ONE of the following prompts to answer in 3+ paragraphs/no fewer than 750 words:

  1. Consider Janie’s description of the day she realized that she was not white (pages 8-9) and compare this description to Zora Neal Hurston’s essay, “How It Feels to be Colored Me.” In both texts, the speaker’s explanation of her awareness of race refers to more than an awareness of skin tone. What does Hurston mean when she writes about “realizing she was colored”? What does Janie become aware of when she views the photo? How would you describe Hurston’s view of racial identity?

  1. On page 9, Janie says, “Dey all uster call me Alphabet ‘cause so many people had none named me different names.” Examine the use of names in the novel. What do the character’s names reveal about identity? How do names reflect a character’s culture, socioeconomic position, and/or personality? Pay particular attention to characters that are called more than one name throughout the novel.

  1. The novel contains several scenes with men talking in an exaggerated and humorous way about women. Examine these scenes (pages 36; 67-69) and explain what they reveal about the cultural context of male and female roles.

  1. One of the universal themes of literature is the idea that children suffer because of the mistakes of an earlier generation. Examine the development of this theme in Their Eyes Were Watching God by analyzing the story that Nanny tells about her life (pages 14-20). Discuss Nanny’s interactions with white men and women. How did growing up in slavery impact her worldview? How has her past impacted her relationship with her daughter and granddaughter?

  1. Two of the interconnected themes in the novel are the search for identity and the individual in opposition to society. Use the following quote from page 77 as a starting point for the exploration of these themes: “Then one day she sat and watched the shadow of herself going about tending store and prostrating itself before Jody, while all the time she herself sat under a shady tree with the wind blowing through her hair and her clothes.” Throughout the novel, what causes Janie to separate her exterior life from her interior life? How does she reconcile this conflict?

  1. What are the traditional stereotypes of men and women in this novel? In what ways does Janie fit the typical feminine stereotype? In what ways does Janie violate typical gender boundaries? How could some of her words or actions be seen as masculine? How might men view this as a threat?
