Project Deliverable 3: Database and Data Warehousing Design

This assignment consists of two (2) sections: a design document and a revised project plan. You must submit both sections as separate files for the completion of this assignment. Label each file name according to the section of the assignment it is written for. Additionally, you may create and / or assume all necessary assumptions needed for the completion of this assignment.

One of the main functions of any business is to be able to use data to leverage a strategic competitive advantage. This feat hinges upon a company’s ability to transform data into quality information. The use of relational databases is a necessity for contemporary organizations; however, data warehousing has become a strategic priority due to the enormous amounts of data that must be analyzed along with the varying sources from which data comes. Since you are now the CIO of a data-collection company which gathers data by using Web analytics and operational systems, you must design a solution overview that incorporates data warehousing. The executive team needs to be clear about what data warehousing can provide the company.

Section 1: Design Document

Write a four to six (4-6) page design document in which you:
Support the need for data warehousing within your company and elaborate on the best practices that the company will adhere to.
Create a schema that supports the company’s business and processes. Explain and support the database schema with relevant arguments that support the rationale for the structure. Note: The minimum requirement for the schema should entail the tables, fields, relationships, views, and indexes.
Create an Entity-Relationship (E-R) Diagram relating the tables of your database schema through the use of graphical tools in Microsoft Visio or an open source alternative such as Dia. Note: The graphically depicted solution is not included in the required page length but must be included in the design document appendix. Explain your rationale behind the design of your E-R Diagram.
Create a Data Flow Diagram (DFD) relating the tables of your database schema through the use of graphical tools in Microsoft Visio or an open source alternative such as Dia. Note: The graphically depicted solution is not included in the required page length but must be included in the design document appendix.
Illustrate the flow of data including both inputs and outputs for the use of a data warehouse. The diagram must map data between source systems, data warehouses and specified data marts. The diagram should map data between source systems, data warehouses, and specified data marts. Note: The graphically depicted solution is not included in the required page length.

Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:

This course requires use of new Strayer Writing Standards (SWS). The format is different than other Strayer University courses. Please take a moment to review the SWS documentation for details.
Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references must follow SWS or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.
Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required assignment page length.
Include charts or diagrams created in MS Visio or Dia as an appendix of the design document. All references to these diagrams must be included in the body of the design document.

Section 2: Revised Project Plan

Use Microsoft Project to:

Update the project plan from Project Deliverable 2: Business Requirements, with three to five (3-5) new project tasks each consisting of five to ten (5-10) sub-tasks.

The specific course learning outcomes associated with this assignment are:

Summarize how information systems represent a key source of competitive advantage for organizations.
Develop information systems-related activities to maximize the business value within and outside the organization.
Use technology and information resources to research issues in information systems.
Write clearly and concisely about strategic issues and practices in the information systems domain using proper writing mechanics and technical style conventions.

FORENSIC DESIGN Assessment Writing Assignment Help

This task relates to a sequence of assessments that will be repeated across Chapters 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10. Select any example of a visualisation or infographic, maybe your own work or that of others. The task is to undertake a deep, detailed ‘forensic’ like assessment of the design choices made across each of the five layers of the chosen visualisation’s anatomy. In each case your assessment is only concerned with one design layer at a time.

For this task, take a close look at the colour choices:

  1. Start by identifying all the applications of colour deployed, listing them under the headers of 1) data legibility, 2) editorial salience, and 3) functional harmony.
  2. How suitable are the choices and deployment of these colours? If they are not, what do you think they should have been?
  3. Go through the set of ‘Influencing factors’ from the latter section of the book’s chapter to help shape your assessment and to possibly inform how you might tackle this design layer differently
  4. Also, considering the range of potential applications of colour, what would you do differently or additionally?

Please use APA format and include all reference and citation in the paper.

Being a Sales manager, I have used POLC all the time. Running a business this is a must and is done on a daily basis. For planning, this entailed making sure the I have the proper coverage at my store on a daily basis to be able to support all the customers as well planning an attack plan on which metrics we will need to focus on that we need to grow our business. Organizing pretty much is my strongest functions out of the POLC. I need to be organized to be able to function on a daily basis, such as plan, lead and control. If I had to pick what I need to work on more out of the four it would be controlling. According to Judge, correcting deviations is an important part of controlling (Robbins and Judge, 2019). I am hands on person and sometimes I forget to step back and assess the situation and re-evaluate if need be. I have made improvements and have scheduled weekly time to assess the business as a whole as well as with individual employees.

I can think of many times as the production manager at my previous company where planning, organizing, leading and controlling were all used. That company manufactured CCAs (circuit card assemblies) and the design and process was very detail-oriented. For planning, I had to decide which work orders to start, and based that daily on the amount/type of work already on the floor. If the hand solder department was already behind I would choose work orders with little to no hand soldering to alleviate the bottleneck. Organizing the plan involved meeting with team leads and supervisors of each of the five departments and making sure they understood the flow of work and knew what was coming and going in their areas. Leading was being on the floor, not at my desk and encouraging as well as following up to make sure we were on track. I also provided support, such as getting the employees anything they needed to be successful. Controlling was metric-driven, and being able to look at/produce the metrics needed to identify problem areas that needed to be addressed. All of this was a daily activity for me.

If I had to pick my weakest area from the four it would be controlling. According to Judge, correcting deviations is an important part of controlling (Robbins and Judge, 2019). My biggest issue here is that I like to be very involved and sometimes have a hard time taking a step back to asses and re-evaluate. I have gotten much better at it, but know there is always room to improve.

Hello Class and Professor,

Ai have used the POLC I a few jobs in my life, but when I worked as a manager in a group home for the mentally handicapped is where it was the most pronounced. As a manager there, I was responsible for planning everything from meals to outings and anything that you would think of when you think about a family environment. I was responsible for all of that and then had to manage the employees to make sure that they were effectively doing their jobs. That included making sure they were happy with the work environment and that everyone got along well. To make sure that the environment was cohesive amongst everyone (employees and residents) I had to use all four functions regularly. I feel like I have the hardest time with the controlling function. That is because I might not always enforce things that I need to enforce to try and keep the cohesiveness of the workplace. I have gotten better at this over time, but still feel like I need improvement. I feel like I am very strong at the planning function. This has also come with time and experience. Through my past experiences, I am really good at seeing what needs to be done in my organization and managing my team to make sure those goals are set and met with success. I look forward to reading your responses.

Revision Essay Art analysis-Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci Writing Assignment Help

This is a revision essay, only need to fixed the parts mentioned by my professor. Total need to be 4 full pages. My original work is post in the attached file.

Here is the writing requirement :

  • Be the artist! Choose an artist and write a letter from their perspective about an object that they created (you need to pretend you are the artist). Include an analysis about the object’s formal, historical, and contextual information. Minimum 4 pages of text. This project could be done in pairs to create dialogue in the project!

Here is my professor’s comment ” These are things that needs to be fixed- da Vinci did not invent Pointillism, and since you do not cite it I am not sure where you got that information from.

I would start your formal analysis with a basic description of the image so that your reader can picture it.

Then, I wouldn’t say what colors are NOT in the image but instead write about the colors that ARE there and describe where they are and what they represent in the image.

Then, I would write another paragraph about the pyramid composition.

The next paragraph about the background is good, but I would cut the information about her costume and put it in the contextual analysis if it fits.

I am very confused about the paragraph about the eye, are you talking about her eye of the viewer’s eye? Do you need this paragraph? If so, please explain it more. If not, delete.

In your historical analysis, I would delete the information about the theories of who and what this image is, instead I would focus on the Renaissance, what it is and how this image fits in with it. Talk about the style of this image, the style of the Renaissance and de Vinci’s style.

Your contextual analysis is the weakest section. I would focus either of the costume idea or the theories behind who this woman in and why it was commissioned. Personally, I think you should talk about Renaissance portraiture at the time and discuss how this image is similar or different. use another painting to compare and contrast if want.

During a professional ice hockey game in Ice City, one of the home-team fans threw a mug of beer onto the visiting team’s bench. Initially, the visiting team’s players and coaching staff ignored what had happened. There was no facility/event security in the vicinity of the player benches to monitor the fans or prevent the fans from heckling and/or causing disruptive behavior. A few minutes later, a second home-team fan threw another mug of beer on the visiting team’s players. As this occurred, one of the visiting team’s assistant coaches became enraged, climbed over the partition that separates the players from the crowd, started running up in the crowd, and attempted to reach the fan who threw the beer. The assistant coach reached the fan and started to physically assault him. As this occurred, other fans became involved and started physically assaulting the assistant coach. Event security finally arrived, and then police and emergency personnel arrived after the incident had settled. The fan assaulted by the assistant coach was taken to the hospital with severe cuts and was bleeding out of one ear. The assistant coach sustained a broken nose after being assaulted by multiple fans.

Prepare an eight- to ten-page paper (not including the title and references pages) that assesses the legal issues related to the incident described. When developing the response, include a description of who may be legally liable for what occurred, the risk management concerns included, and what could have been done to prevent the incident. When considering what could have prevented the incident, consider facilities management, team management, law enforcement, and league-wide in-game practices. Finally, identify the appropriate law for the situation, and describe how the law is specifically applicable to the incident. Use at least five scholarly sources that are suitable for research in an undergraduate level course.

The Final Paper

Read the following case to prepare for the case brief:

“The Espresso Lane to Global Markets”

Suggested Guidance Questions for Brief Analysis

  1. Which variables from the case are the most important in Reale’s decision-making?
  2. How should Reale prioritize the foreign markets? Which markets Reale should consider first? Why?
  3. What mode of entry should Reale consider? Should it be different based on the market selected? What are the relevant variables that should impact the decision?

Guidelines for case briefs:

  1. Briefs should not exceed 500 words. In addition, you can append your own explanatory exhibits that summarize your own analysis to support your position. Each exhibit you decide to include must be referred to in your brief with a clear explanation of the exhibit’s contribution. Although you must answer all questions provided with the case, your brief should NOT be written as a homework assignment (e.g. Question 1 then Answer, and so on). Rather you should start with an introductory paragraph where you identify the key issue(s) explaining why this (these) is (are) the key issue(s); then you provide clear recommendations or solutions to the key issue(s) supported by robust analysis. Remember to show alternatives you considered and why you may have rejected these. Case questions might be the key issue(s) or at minimum they direct you to the key issues(s). Use these case questions to help you in identifying the key issue(s) or at minimum they direct you to the key issue(s). Use these case questions to help you in identifying the key issue(s) and support your arguments.
  2. An excellent brief will:
    • Identify key issues that help you answer specific case questions posted with the case and, if you choose, identified by you.
    • Explain and support your stated positions and the case facts by using concepts/theories learned from your readings, from the lectures, or from your own research. This is very important: Cite all sources you use to support your ideas.
    • Focus on clear answers supported with facts from the case. Make, articulate, and support assumptions as necessary. Don’t summarize the case and/or provide case details that do not pertain specifically to your answers. A case is unlikely to be focused entirely on the material covered in the chapters of the specific week in which it is assigned. Hence, you should broaden your theoretical lens to include all lessons studied up to this point.
    • Evaluate the financial implications of your recommendations (when appropriate to the case).
    • Be well organized. Remember that the substance of your brief should be made clear by its form.
