Compose a speculative case study for a research project on data and politics. What phenomenon could be studied (an example of datafication in a political/cultural perspective, a technique, etc.)? How does it relate to data and politics (theoretically, contemporary or historically)? Why is it significant? Write a short research project descriiption with at least 3 sources/references.

A suggested outline could be:

In the first page (or half):

– Contextualize the background
– State the problem
– Respond to the problem

(see Wayne Booth et al. The Craft of Research, chapter 16 for inspiration)

Then elaborate your study. How will you analyze, experiment with or discuss the phenomenon? What methods to collect, process and precent data will you use (include references)? What is the larger theoretical discussion at stake (including references and statements of core arguments)?

Finally add your references (at least 3 sources)

1-2 pages, 500-1000 words INCLUDING bibliography.

I have provided the Wayne Booth et al. chapter. as well as sources that may be very useful for writing the paper.

Notes:
You could do a speculative case study based on some forensic literacy (like Forensic Architecture does it).
