Critical Analysis Instructions
essay will be an exercise in analyzing the arguments of others. We are going to watch an interesting debate on the role of religion in modern society, and then you will provide a summary and analysis of both sides of the argument.
Step 1:Watch the “organized religion debate” using the link:http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=organized+r…. Take notes. Try to determine what the speaker’s main point is and how he tries to support his argument. We will watch each section with a discussion in between. We may not get through the entire debate during class time, in which case, it will be up to you to watch the rest of it on your own. You can also find a transcript of the debate and an mp3 of the debate on the class BlackBoard.
Step 2: Write a short essay (4-5pages) that summarizes and analyzes both speaker’s arguments.
Summary:
Tell the reader what each speaker’s argument is and how they support that argument. Give examples by paraphrasing from the transcript. Compare the two arguments. What aspects do they have in common? In what ways are they different? How do the speakers use the modes of persuasion? (logos, pathos, and ethos)
You may choose to organize the paper by either summarizing each argument in its entirety before going on to the other, or by following the “back and forth” of the debate and present your summaries as they answer one another.
Analysis:
What are the strengths and weaknesses of each argument? Which speaker do you think made the more effective arguments?
your paper must:
- Present a summary of both sides of the debate.
- Analyze both speakers in terms of logos, pathos, and ethos.
- Contain at least two paraphrases from each speaker (use the transcript to find worthy passages to paraphrase).
- Analyze the arguments presented for each side. Do they seem like effective arguments? Do they make sense? Does the speaker provide support for his arguments? What assumptions might be behind each argument? Etc.
- Be at least three pages long, size 12 Times New Roman or Calibri font, and be free or nearly free from technical errors and awkward passages.

The Trolley Problem Writing Assignment Help
There is no word requirement, please just answer the question as fully as possible.
1. Trolley: There is a runaway trolley barreling down the railway tracks. Ahead, on the tracks, there are five people. The trolley is headed straight for them. You are standing some distance off in the train yard, next to a lever. If you pull this lever, the trolley will switch to a different set of tracks. Unfortunately, you notice that there is one person on the side track. You have two options: (1) Do nothing, and the trolley kills the five people on the main track. (2) Pull the lever, diverting the trolley onto the side track where it will kill one person.
2. Fat Man: There is a runaway trolley headed toward five people again. Only, this time, you are not in the train yard next to a lever. You are on a bridge, watching the events from above the tracks. There is a very large man next to you. You realize that, if you push him off the bridge and down onto the tracks below, the trolley will hit and kill him, but his body is so large that it will stop the trolley before it reaches the five endangered people. You have two options: (1) Do nothing, and the trolley kills the five people. (2) Push the large man off the bridge, so that he dies, but the five others are saved.
3. What if, if any differences do you think exist between the two dilemmas.

Define Civil Liberties; then define Civil Rights Humanities Assignment Help
SLO# 1 Civil Liberties v Civil Rights (this assignment should be customized by each instructor to better fit his or her teaching materials and/or emphasis and, to minimize student cheating)
Civil liberties and civil rights are mechanical components that have tremendous influence on the way we live our life. Each category can be applied in different situations, to identify different experiences for each individual. People in the USA are beginning to question whether democracy is worth fighting for as more instances are identified in which human beings find themselves ‘above the law’ (e.g. government officials, bureaucrats and civil servants violate laws that otherwise ‘ordinary citizens’ would quickly be found guilty, and be forced to pay fines and/or be confined and incarcerated). Visit the links below, then respond to the ensuing situations [*do your best to overlook authors’ personal opinions and rather consider the issues identified; also, consider the possibility that these situations maybe taking place in any/all of the 50 states across the USA*].

https://fee.org/articles/government-workers-are-am…
- Define Civil Liberties; then define Civil Rights. How are they similar? How do they differ? Which civil sequence has more influence on your life as you know it to be now? Why do you believe this to be so?
- Where do the courts weigh in? Search the Supreme Court database:
then identify one case for each situation (i.e. Civil Liberties case; then a Civil Rights case). Which situation would have more influence on the quality of life in the states? Which part of the USA would register a deeper impact of judicial decision(s) reached in the case identified (i.e. in relation to making the most of your life experiences)?

programming languages implementing a Scanner and Parser for a Simple Language Programming Assignment Help
A compiler converts a source language program into a target language program. There are some basic stages in compilation process, including scanning, parsing, semantic analysis, and code generation. For this assignment, you will implement a scanner and parser for a small language with its grammar given in BNF notation. The language literals are enclosed with ‘ ‘ in the CFG below.
Context Free Grammar:
<program> -><stmtlist>'end'
<stmtlist> -><stmt><stmtlist>|Є ----- note: this is equivalent to <stmt>|<stmt><stmtlist>
<stmt> -> ID '=' <expr>
|'read' ID
|'write' <expr>
<expr> -> <term> {('+'|'-')<term>}
<term> -> <factor> {('*'|'/') <factor>}
<factor> -> ID
| INT_CONSTANT
|'('<expr>')'
The possible set of tokens, represented with regular expressions, includes:
ASSIGN -> =
PLUS -> +
MINUS -> -
TIMES -> *
DIV -> /
LPAREN ->(
RPAREN -> )
ID -> letter(letter|digit)*
Except read, write, and end.
INT_CONSTANT -> digit digit*
LETTER ->[a-zA-Z]
DIGIT ->[0-9]
Your task is to implement a scanner and a parser for this simple language.
Miscellaneous:
1. You may use any language of your choice to write your program. However, your program must compile and run on pluto.
2. Programs can be read from keyboard instead of file.
3. Sample runs can be found in hw2 (will be provided later).
Submission notes
1. All your source code
2. Brief documentation or readme file (i.e. no more than a page), to include the following
a. Instructions on how to build and execute your program
b. Any difficulties you encountered in designing/writing your program
c. What you learn/find from or reflection of this assignment.
