NURS FPX4010 CU Interview and Interdisciplinary Issue Identification Question Health Medical Assignment Help
I’m working on a nursing writing question and need a sample draft to help me study.
- For this assessment, you will create a 2-4 page report on an interview you have conducted with a health care professional. You will identify an issue from the interview that could be improved with an interdisciplinary approach, and review best practices and evidence to address the issue. As a baccalaureate-prepared nurse, your participation and leadership in interdisciplinary teams will be vital to the health outcomes for your patients and organization. One way to approach designing an improvement project is to use the Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycle. The Institute for Healthcare Improvement describes it thus:
The Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycle is shorthand for testing a change in the real work setting—by planning it, trying it, observing the results, and acting on what is learned. This is the scientific method adapted for action-oriented learning…Essentially, the PDSA cycle helps you test out change ideas on a smaller scale before evaluating the results and making adjustments before potentially launching into a somewhat larger scale project (n.d.).
You might also recognize that the PDSA cycle resembles the nursing process. The benefit of gaining experience with this model of project design is that it provides nurses with an opportunity to ideate and lead improvements. For this assessment, you will not be implementing all of the PDSA cycle. Instead, you are being asked to interview a health care professional of your choice to determine what kind of interdisciplinary problem he or she is experiencing or has experienced in the workplace. This interview, in Assessment 2, will inform the research that you will conduct to propose a plan for interdisciplinary collaboration in Assessment 3.It would be an excellent choice to complete the PDSA Cycle activity prior to developing the report. The activity consists of four questions that create the opportunity to check your understanding of best practices related to each stage of the PDSA cycle. The information gained from completing this formative will promote your success with the Interview and Interdisciplinary Issue Identification report. This will take just a few minutes of your time and is not graded.

Professional Context
This assessment will introduce the Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) Model to create change in an organization. By interviewing a colleague of your choice, you will begin gathering information about an interprofessional collaboration problem that your colleague is experiencing or has experienced. You will identify a change theory and leadership strategies to help solve this problem.
Scenario
This assessment is the first of three related assessments in which you will gather interview information (Assessment 2); design a proposal for interdisciplinary problem-solving, (Assessment 3); and report on how an interdisciplinary improvement plan could be implemented in a place of practice (Assessment 4). At the end of the course, your interviewee will have a proposal plan based on the PDSA cycle that he or she could present to stakeholders to address an interdisciplinary problem in the workplace. For this assessment, you will need to interview a health care professional such as a fellow learner, nursing colleague, administrator, business partner, or another appropriate person who could provide you with sufficient information regarding an organizational problem that he or she is experiencing or has experienced, or an area where they are seeking improvements. Consult the Interview Guide [DOCX] for an outline of how to prepare and the types of information you will need to complete this project successfully.Remember: this is just the first in a series of three assessments.
Instructions
For this assessment, you will report on the information that you collected in your interview, analyzing the interview data and identifying a past or current issue that would benefit from an interdisciplinary approach. This could be an issue that has not been addressed by an interdisciplinary approach or one that could benefit from improvements related to the interdisciplinary approach currently being used. You will discuss the interview strategy that you used to collect information. Your interview strategy should be supported by citations from the literature. Additionally, you will start laying the foundation for your Interdisciplinary Plan Proposal (Assessment 3) by researching potential change theories, leadership strategies, and collaboration approaches that could be relevant to issue you have identified. Please be certain to review the scoring guide to confirm specific required elements of this assessment. Note that there are differences between basic, proficient and distinguished scores. When submitting your plan, use the Interview and Issue Identification Template [DOCX], which will help you to stay organized and concise. As you complete the template, make sure you use APA format for in-text citations for the evidence and best practices that are informing your plan, as well as for the reference list at the end.Additionally, be sure to address the following, which corresponds to the grading criteria in the scoring guide. Please study the scoring guide carefully so you understand what is needed for a distinguished score.
- Summarize an interview focused on past or current issues at a health care organization.
- Identify an issue from an interview for which an evidence-based interdisciplinary approach would be appropriate.
- Describe potential change theories and leadership strategies that could inform an interdisciplinary solution to an organizational issue.
- Describe collaboration approaches from the literature that could facilitate establishing or improving an interdisciplinary team to address an organizational issue.
- Communicate with writing that is clear, logically organized, and professional, with correct grammar and spelling, and using current APA style.
Additional Requirements
- Length of submission: Use the provided template. Most submissions will be 2 to 4 pages in length. Be sure to include a reference page at the end of the plan.
- Number of references: Cite a minimum of 3 sources of scholarly or professional evidence that support your central ideas. Resources should be no more than 5 years old.
- APA formatting: Make sure that in-text citations and reference list follow current APA style.
Portfolio Prompt: Remember to save the final assessment to your ePortfolio so that you may refer to it as you complete the final Capstone course.
- Competency 2: Explain how interdisciplinary collaboration can be used to achieve desired patient and systems outcomes.

English 1101
Annotated Bibliography
Dr. Brumfield
For this final assignment, you will research a topic of interest to you, formulate a thesis statement, and then create
an annotated bibliography from your research. YOU ARE NOT WRITING A RESEARCH PAPER! The purpose of your
work is twofold:
(1) to provide general background information about your selected topic, and
(2) to summarize arguments for and against your topic.
Your annotated bibliography will contain the following for each entry: one direct quotation and one overall
summary; your bibliography must contain a minimum of 7 separate sources of the following types and quantities:
• (1) Book (Can come from GALILEO)
• (3) Journal Articles (MUST COME FROM GALILEO)
• (1) Magazine or newspaper articles (not scholarly) (Should come from GALILEO)
• (2) Websites / videos / other types of media (reputable only) / field research (interview, observation,
survey)
An annotated bibliography is a list of citations of books, articles, and documents. Each citation is followed by a
brief (AT LEAST 100 words) descriptive and evaluative paragraph called the annotation. The purpose of the
annotation is to inform the reader of the relevance, accuracy, and quality of the sources cited. Your annotation will
also contain one meaningful direct quotation for each source. You are not writing abstracts, which are purely
descriptive summaries often found at the beginning of scholarly journal articles or in periodical indexes. Rather,
you are writing annotations, which are both descriptive and critical; they describe the author’s point of view,
authority, and/or clarity and appropriateness of expression.
Creating an annotated bibliography calls for the application of a variety of intellectual skills: concise exposition,
succinct analysis, and informed library research. First, locate and record citations to books, periodicals, and
documents that may contain useful information and ideas on your topic. Briefly examine and review the actual
items. Then choose those works that provide a variety of perspectives on your topic (be sure to include entries that
not only support your claim but also refute it). Cite the book, article, or document following MLA guidelines.
Write a concise annotation that summarizes the central theme and scope of the book or article. Include one or
more sentences that (a) evaluate the authority or background of the author, (b) comment on the intended
audience, (c) compare or contrast this work with another you have cited, or (d) explain how this work illuminates
your bibliography topic. The annotation will also include one direct quotation (not included in the word count).
Your bibliography will contain an introduction that explains the scope of your investigation (your thesis) and
provides a rationale for your selection of sources; additionally, your bibliography will contain an evaluative
conclusion, in which you explain what you learned from the process.
Your annotated bibliography will be comprised of the following components:
(1) A title
(2) An introduction
(3) At least 7 annotated bibliographical entries arranged alphabetically by TYPE (i.e., all articles together)
(4) An evaluative conclusion
Your annotated bibliography will be formatted as follows:
(1) MLA 2016 update for citations and document format
(2) Double spaced throughout
(3) 12 point, times new roman
(4) Each entry will be formatted like the sample above (hanging indent for the entire entry).
Following is a sample entry. You’ll have at least 7 entries in your bibliography.
Tompkins, Jane. “Indians: Textualism, Morality, and the Problem of History.” Critical Inquiry, vol. 13 no. 1, 1986,
pp. 101 – 19. EBSCOHost, doi: 10255487/hr104-2017-174.
ANNOTATION: Tompkins explores her attempts to uncover the truth about historical encounters between
Native Americans and European colonists through a personal narrative. Documenting her research processes
chronologically, Tompkins shows how her perspective changes as she consults historical documents written by first
the colonizers and then the colonized. Tompkins ultimately concludes that since no overarching historical narrative
exists, students of history must seek out competing versions of history to approximate the truth. This article
represents an important contribution to the field of historiography and supports my thesis. QUOTE: “The American
Indian suffered one of the most brutal expulsions of any people in history” (117).
Some useful language for talking about texts and arguments:
It is sometimes challenging to find the vocabulary in which to summarize and discuss a text. Here is a list of some
verbs for referring to texts and ideas that you might find useful:
account for clarify describe exemplify indicate question
analyze compare depict exhibit investigate recognize
argue conclude determine explain judge reflect
assess criticize distinguish frame justify refer to
assert defend evaluate identify narrate report
assume define emphasize illustrate persuade review
claim demonstrate examine imply propose suggest

part1 :
please answer the following question in two paragraphs:
Spyware is a form of Malware that resides on a computer or cellphone and monitors the user’s activities. This type Malware is often used to steal sensitive information. We are taught to think negatively of surveillance software, however, in light of the various threats today; is it appropriate for parents to install Spyware on their child’s PC/cellphone to monitor their activities?
part 2:
reply one paragraph for each of the following thread:
1)
Mustafa’s – Children and Technology
Is it appropriate for parents to install Spyware on their child’s PC/cellphone to monitor their activities?
This is a very interesting topic! I think it depends on the situation. On one hand, the digital world is becoming increasingly dangerous and parents need to be able to monitor their children’s use of the Internet and social media. On the other hand, spying on your children shows a lack of trust as a parent, which could make them less likely to ask for help from their parent when they really need it (James n.d.).
I believe that parents should focus on educating their children on how to use technology devices in a responsible way rather than monitor their every move. As a parent, it is your duty to explain the dangers of the Web. If you have a teenager who is responsible and honest, tells you where and with whom he said he would be, then I think it is fair to give him some privacy (James n.d.). However, if the child does not act responsibly and gets himself in trouble then it is the parent’s job to take care of his/ her child through whatever means, whether installing Spyware on the child’s devices or physically looking on his computer and phone.
2)
Alex Smith- I agree to a certain extent
This does make for a very interesting debate. I honestly think the answer to this question serves no right or wrong, it’s depedent upon the parents preference. Personally, I understand the notion of installing Spyware onto your child’s devices because I’m less concerned of my child doing wrong but more so concerned with my child being a target for hackers. With Spyware, I’m able to monitor what type of sites they are visiting and if they are viewing any alarming ads/sites. I also believe this Spyware should be installed up into a certain age. While my child is still in their pre-school/early elementary stage, I will use the Spyware to ensure the sites they visit aren’t harmful and that they aren’t hacker targets. However, at a certain age, I would love to sit my children down and explain to them the possible dangers of the internet and what they need to do to protect themselves and their information. Once they reach a certain age, I would allow them to be in control of their privacy and trust that they will continue to make responsble decisions. I personally wouldn’t want my child to think I don’t trust nor respect their privacy. They of course would have rules and consequences for breaking them but for the most part, I would allow them to use their great sense of judgment when using their devices.

Part One – Please write a paragraph or two on the case you liked or disliked the most in Chapters 6-12 and tell us why. Choose a case that is highlighted in the book – one that covers a page or more. (Don’t choose a “Case in Point” or other case that is mentioned in a paragraph of text – even though it might be very interesting.) Also, identify your case by the case name before you start your comments.
In your comment, briefly summarize the facts, then relate them to the legal concepts we are studying. A summary of the facts and your opinion of “fair” or “not fair” is not a legal discussion. Apply the legal concepts you are studying to what happened in the case. Then you may add your opinion to the decision if you like.
Part Two – Next, read another student’s discussion (the one worth 70 points). Write a paragraph after the student’s entry with additional or contrary points regarding that student’s discussion. (Be respectful!)
I will read your entries and may add some background on the cases.
