Select a company that has a project management office and uses outside vendors for specific services or products. Imagine you have been hired as a consultant to help this company’s project management office improve its procurement processes. Specifically, imagine you have been asked to review current risk management practices with the goal of proposing a new model for reducing and mitigating procurement risks on projects that source part of the work to third party vendors.

Create a visual model that reflects the key elements of the procurement risk management process, and the important relationships between its elements as well as internal stakeholders.

Then, create a MS PowerPoint presentation, in which you explain your approach to procurement risk management in a PMO context for the chosen company. Your presentation should:

• Be directed at senior management, including the director of the PMO
• Address the company’s specific products or services that are procured and the vendors used
• Explain the types of risks the PMO is likely to encounter and how they can be managed
• Include your visual procurement risk management model and a full explanation of the assumptions, principles, and expected outcomes behind the model

The objective of this assignment is to produce a web site consisting of three web pages.

Unlike other assignments this semester, you have significant latitude in how you design

each web page. Feel free to be creative, as long as you satisfy the requirements below.

Your web site will be an online units conversion program, consisting of three pages: (1) a

home page from which it is possible to get to the other two pages; (2) a page that converts

from pounds to kilograms; (3) a page that converts from degrees Fahrenheit to degrees

Celsius. The title of every page is Online Converter.

Note: You will need to know the relevant conversion formulas in order to program them

correctly. If you don’t know them, look them up on Wikipedia or elsewhere. Also, be

sure to check that your web pages produce correct outputs when given different inputs.

1) Homepage

This is the conclusion to the analysis. Given all the research you’ve done on the previous five assignments, you can now synthesize that information and come to a conclusion as to how the company should move forward. The product may appear to have a good chance of success. It may appear to have too many down-side risks. It may be a situation where a few “red flags” suggest the need for more research. Remember it’s as important to decide not to pursue a marketing strategy as to move forward.

A final step in this last assignment is to combine the six assignments into a single paper. That means treating each of the previous assignments as a section of this final paper. Eliminate the individual title pages. In this case, you can retain the citations in each section so you don’t have to renumber or move citations around. Also, feel free to make changes to earlier assignments based on new information you may have found or feedback from the professor.

Please use the following Checklist to ensure a quality final assignment report. Around 10 pages single spaced.

Argumentative Research Paper Guidelines

Select a topic of your choice but one that differs from your Argumentative Essay. (See topic exceptions below.) Write an Argumentative Research paper that utilizes scholarly secondary sources, demonstrates familiarity with MLA (Modern Language Association) source documentation conventions, and demonstrates awareness of audience. I will pay particular attention to your use of MLA in-text source documentation conventions such as signal phrases, quotation conventions, and parenthetical notes. Whether using direct quotation, summary, or paraphrase, writers must include correct in-text citation conventions to acknowledge sources. Clearly distinguish your voice from the voices of your sources.

This research paper should project your voice, and include the following:

1. a well-defined thesis statement that includes an arguable claim and bold print. (See a model thesis statement on page 346 ).
2. an outline that aligns with the thesis statement (include with draft only).
3. Relevant background information, good reasons, and convincing evidence.
4. Counter argument(s) presented fully, fairly and objectively in a separate paragraph (or several separate paragraphs).
5. Clearly presented responses to counter arguments.
6. MLA style source documentation conventions within the research paper (signal phrases, parenthetical notes, quotation marks, block quotations, etc.) and on the Works Cited page (spacing, indentation, title distinctions, etc.). Insert no URLs in the body of the paper.

Draft Argumentative Research Paper

Upload the draft Argumentative Research paper (including an outline and the Works Cited page) to your Group File Exchange for peer review and to the Assignment link for the instructor’s review. Double space all pages. Include page numbers. Use a 12 to 14-point font size. The draft Argumentative Research paper should consist of at least 800 words including the outline and Works Cited page.

Final Argumentative Research Paper

Upload the final Argumentative Research Paper (including the Works Cited page) to the Assignment link after considering feedback from peers and instructor. Revise and edit carefully. Double space all pages. Include page numbers. Use a 12 to 14-point font size. The Final Argumentative Research Paper should consist of 1,200-1,500 words, including the Works Cited page.
