Training and development departments are tasked with designing training programs to meet the needs of an organization. One of the first steps is to create learning objectives and design activities that satisfy them. For this assignment, you will read the scenario below, research ways to create course objectives, and in a 3- to 4-page report recommend appropriate activities.

Scenario:

Employees in the product service department of your company are in need of training to acquire skills for negotiating terms and conditions in contracts for outsourcing selected services. To provide them these skills, the training and development department of your company is planning to develop a course on influence and negotiation. As part of the training and development department, you have been assigned to develop a module on influence without authority, as one of the fundamental skills for this course.

Directions:

Based on your research, respond to the following in approximately 3- to 4-pages:

• Read chapter 3 and chapter 4 from Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector by Scales (2008), from ebrary as a context to what needs to be considered while writing course objectives:Read the following pages:
  • Learning styles (pp. 76–81) and Adult learning—andragogy (pp. 81–82).
  • Aims and objectives (pp. 102–104) and Bloom’s taxonomy (pp. 104–108).
• Develop three course objectives regarding influencing skills—one focused on knowledge or comprehension, one tapping into application or analysis, and one requiring synthesis or evaluation.
• Recommend one activity to assess each of the previously written course objectives. You should make three activity suggestions (i.e. ideas of skills to practice only). Include a justification for each choice regarding the activity you recommended.

Your final product will be a Microsoft Word document and be approximately 3- to 4-pages in length and utilize two to three scholarly sources in your research (beyond your textbook). Your paper should be written in a clear, concise, and organized manner; demonstrate ethical scholarship in accurate representation and attribution of sources; and display accurate spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

Configuring a Repository
Consider the following scenario:
Your development team is working on the version 1.0 of a software code base. This version will be the main version used for team X. Beyond that point the development team will start working on version 2.0 for team Y. However, the team should maintain version 1.0 based on the bugs found by team X and these fixes should be always applied to the 1.0 version and also to 2.0 code stream. However, bugs found in the 2.0 stream should be applied to the 1.0 code stream after close consideration to make sure that version 1.0 is not disturbed.

In order to keep track of the development and the versions under development, you will need a repository for the software that includes mechanisms for recording and tracking versions.

Based on the above scenario and your understanding, you need to:

• Identify and explain the best way to configure your repository to allow for maximum flexibility and maximum stability for your released code.
• Develop a method for configuring and managing a software repository.
• After creating the solution, search for available version control tools.
• Select the tool you believe to be the best to implement your solution.
• Describe how you would configure and manage your repository, focusing on required flexibility and stability.
• Provide a table of version control tools that you researched upon, including a description and strengths and weaknesses of each tool with respect to your configuration solution.
• Describe the version control tool you decided to implement, along with a justification explaining why you believe this tool is the best fit.
• Provide a specification of how you would set up and configure the tool to effectively handle your solution.

   Imagine that you are a senior consultant at Practical Health Care Consulting firm. Your supervisor has instructed you to spend three (3) months at the Caring Angel Hospital to help improve the quality of care, add value to the organization, improve employee morale, design an efficient organizational chart, create a strong team environment, and create the hospital’s competitive advantage. The hospital has traditionally made losses year after year. Furthermore, it is not performing well financially, and the banks are not willing to lend it large sums of money for more effective marketing.

   After spending two (2) months within the hospital, you are very happy with your progress, and you think you are capable of acquiring more patient base and expanding the hospital market. However, with a closer look, you notice that your patients are still hopping from one specialized hospital to another in search of various specialized treatments. You also notice that the seats are not comfortable in the waiting area, and the patients continuously show up for appointments on the wrong dates. The nurses and the employees are not smiling during patient conversations, and everyone looks for ways to blame others for failures in the patient treatment process. Everyone seems to work alone and hide what they do from their colleagues.

   At the end of the three (3) month period, you must provide a report with your recommended strategies designed to help Caring Angel Hospital achieve its goals.

   1. From a consulting perspective, propose the major steps that Caring Angel Hospital could take to achieve each of the following goals:
