Week 1 Assignment – The Marketing and the 5 P’s

Most marketing professionals have a written plan that contains a description of the marketing environment, an outline of marketing strategy, and marketing objectives. A marketing plan starts with a well-defined mission and strategy. The key to a marketing plan is found in this chapter subtitle: Linking Your Strategy and Program. The end result of this process is the ability to implement marketing activities. These activities are designed to help enable the organization to achieve its goals and objectives. The plan identifies who will be responsible for carrying out each part of the overall marketing strategy, and helps to determine the size of the market to reach.

Read chapters 1 and 2 to assist with this assignment. This assignment consists of two parts: A written paper and a 5-slide Powerpoint presentation complete with graphics and author’s notes.

First, in a minimum of 250 words (excluding the title and reference pages), in IWG Format with at least three references, apply the elements of the marketing program to questions 1 and 2.

Read chapter 10, 11 & 12 of the class textbook and review the attached PowerPoint presentations. Once done answer the following questions;

A minimum of 2 evidence-based references is required (not counting the class textbook) no older than 5 years. A minimum of 2 replies to any of your peers are required sustained with the proper references. Answers should be presented in an essay style format and a minimum of 700 words without counting the first, last page (reference) and the running head is required. Also, make sure that your references are quoted in the assignment if you cited references in the references page but they are not quoted in the assignment it is considered plagiarism. Instruction:
I need one writer to write 2 stories, so the writing style will be similar. Both stories range from 1000 – 1500 words in length and need query letters for each. At least 3 human resources required in each stories. I will not submit both stories to any magazine, I just need to meet the class requirements. I was assigned to a Men magazine and I pitched the following stories to the professor already.

Along with each article, you will write a one-page, single-spaced query letter addressed to a magazine you would like to sell your story to. To find these magazines (you must choose a different one for each article), consult the Writer’s Market 2018.

Basic requirements
Use 12-point Times New Roman font. Single space your papers with one-inch margins, and leave a blank line between each paragraph. Each article must range from 1,000 to 1,500 words in length.

Each article must include at least three human sources, who you talked to in person or by phone (email interviews are NOT allowed) and who contributed significant information to the story. These sources must be credible, and you should never have met them before reporting the story. In other words, you cannot use your friends, family, coworkers or classmates (both former and present) as sources.

You must include contact information and/or links for all sources on the last page of each of your stories.

Using the same crime throughout (choose any crime you like), do a content analysis of crime stories presented in U.S. printed media (typically newspapers) from the 1700s, 1800s, 1900s, and 2000s, one from each century, for a total of four (4).

How does the social construction of that crime change through time? In general, what is the historical setting during each period that might account for this? What are the potential policy implications for the current criminal justice system? [NB: This is where you use those critical thinking skills!]

Written submission should approximate 1,500 words (roughly 3 pages), formatted per syllabus instruction, and include attached copies of the news articles or links to their respective web sites.

Please be mindful of mechanics (spelling, grammar, etc.).
