I’m working on a English exercise and need support.

focus on one social or political issue and examine the effect that certain words or phrases have on the attitudes towards that

specific issue. (For example, when addressing the issue of abortion, you might notice that those who favor it being legal of

ten refer to themselves as “pro-choice” or refer to the issue itself as being “a woman’s right to choose.” Meanwhile, those who oppose its legality refer to themselves as being “pro-life” and may refer to protecting “the mother’s womb” along with “the sanctity of life.”)

it would be worthwhile to address certain devices often found in argument, specifically the use of ethos, logos, and pathos. Additionally, distinguishing words or phrases based on connotation and denotation would also be worthwhile to ensure an effective argument on your part. Regardless, it is highly recommended you have at least one source that addresses the issue itself and at least one source that addresses the effect of the words or phrases used (even if it is A Rulebook for Arguments).
