Capella University Coordination of Care Ethical Issues Discussion Writing Assignment Help

Select a community organization or group that you feel would be interested in learning about ethical and policy issues that affect the coordination of care. Then, develop and record a 10-12-slide, 20-minute presentation, with audio, intended for that audience. Create a detailed narrative script for your presentation, 4-5 pages in length.

As coordinators of care, nurses must be aware of the code of ethics for nurses and health policy issues that affect the coordination of care within the context of the community. To help patients navigate the continuum of care, nurses must be proficient at interpreting and applying the code of ethics for nurses and health policy, specifically, the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Being knowledgeable about ethical and policy issues helps ensure that care coordinators are upholding ethical standards and navigating policy issues that affect patient care.

This assessment provides an opportunity for you to develop a presentation for a local community organization of your choice, which provides an overview of ethical standards and relevant policy issues that affect the coordination of care. Completing this assessment will strengthen your understanding of ethical issues and policies related to the coordination and continuum of care, and will empower you to be a stronger advocate and nursing professional.

It would be an excellent choice to complete the Vila Health: Ethical Decision Making activity prior to developing the presentation. The activity provides a helpful update on the ethical principles that will help with success in this assessment.

Demonstration of Proficiency

By successfully completing this assessment, you will demonstrate your proficiency in the course competencies through the following assessment scoring guide criteria:

  • Competency 4: Defend decisions based on the code of ethics for nursing.
    • Assess the impact of the code of ethics for nurses on the coordination and continuum of care.
  • Competency 5: Explain how health care policies affect patient-centered care.
    • Explain how governmental policies related to the health and/or safety of a community affect the coordination of care.
    • Identify national, state, and local policy provisions that raise ethical questions or dilemmas for care coordination.
  • Competency 6: Apply professional, scholarly communication strategies to lead patient-centered care.
    • Communicate key ethical and policy issues in a presentation affecting the coordination and continuum of care for a selected community organization or support group. Either speaker notes or audio voice-over are included.

Preparation

Your nurse manager at the community care center is well connected and frequently speaks to a variety of community organizations and groups. She has noticed the good work you are doing in your new care coordination role and respects your speaking and presentation skills. Consequently, she thought that an opportunity to speak publicly about contemporary issues in care coordination would be beneficial for your career and has suggested reaching out to a community organization or support group to gauge their interest in hearing from you, as a care center representative, on a topic of interest to both you and your prospective audience.

You have agreed that this is a good idea and have decided to research a community organization or support group that might be interested in learning about ethical and policy issues related to the coordination of care. Your manager has suggested the following community organizations and support groups, but acknowledges that the choice is yours.

  • Homeless shelters.
  • Local religious groups.
  • Nursing homes.
  • Local community organizations (Rotary Club or Kiwanis Club).

To prepare for this assessment, you may wish to:

  • Research your selected community organization or support group.
  • Review the Code of Ethics for Nurses With Interpretive Statements and associated health policy issues, specifically, the ACA.
  • Review the assessment instructions and scoring guide to ensure you understand the work you will be asked to complete.
  • Allocate sufficient time to rehearse your presentation before recording the final version for submission.
  • Choose the community organization or support group that you plan to address.
  • Develop a PowerPoint with typed speaker notes (the script for your voice recording) and audio voice-over recording, intended for that audience. Video is not required.
  • Note: PowerPoint has a feature to type the speaker notes directly into the presentation. You are encouraged to use that feature or you may choose to submit a separate document. See Microsoft Office Software for technical support about the use of PowerPoint, including voice recording and speaker notes.

For this assessment, develop your presentation slides and speaker notes, then record your presentation. You are not required to deliver your presentation to an actual audience.

    Presentation Format and Length

You may use PowerPoint (recommended) or other suitable presentation software to create your slides and add your voice over. If you elect to use an application other than PowerPoint, check with your faculty to avoid potential file compatibility issues.

Be sure that your slide deck includes the following slides:

    • Title slide.
      • Presentation title.
      • Your name.
      • Date.
      • Course number and title.
    • References (at the end of your presentation).

Your slide deck should consist of 10–12 slides, not including a title and references slide with typed speaker notes and audio voice over. Your presentation should not exceed 20 minutes.

Create a detailed narrative script for your presentation, approximately 4–5 pages in length.

    Supporting Evidence

Cite 3–5 credible sources from peer-reviewed journals or professional industry publications to support your presentation. Include your source citations on a references page appended to your narrative script.

    Grading Requirements

The requirements outlined below correspond to the grading criteria in the Ethical and Policy Factors in Care Coordination Scoring Guide, so be sure to address each point. Read the performance-level descriptions for each criterion to see how your work will be assessed.

    • Explain how governmental policies related to the health and/or safety of the community affect the coordination of care.
      • Provide examples of a specific policy affecting the organization or group.
      • Refer to the assessment resources for help in locating relevant policies.
      • Be sure influential policies include the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA).
    • Identify national, state, and local policy provisions that raise ethical questions or dilemmas for care coordination.
      • What are the implications and consequences of specific policy provisions?
      • What evidence do you have to support your conclusions?
    • Assess the impact of the code of ethics for nurses on the coordination and continuum of care.
      • Consider the factors that contribute to health, health disparities, and access to services.
      • Consider the social determinants of health identified in Healthy People 2020 as a framework for your assessment.
      • Provide evidence to support your conclusions.
    • Communicate key ethical and policy issues in a presentation affecting the coordination and continuum of care for a selected community organization or support group. Either speaker notes or audio voice-over are included for a proficient score; both speaker notes and the audio voice over are included for a distinguished score.
      • Present a concise overview.
      • Support your main points and conclusions with relevant and credible evidence.

De Anza College Numerical Morphology Supports Early Number Word Learning Analysis Humanities Assignment Help

1. Introduction.
I am a native speaker of (standard) Italian and I learned French when I was in high school. I
studied French for 5 years and I travelled to French-speaking countries on a number of
occasions and I spent there a few months. I am also a native speaker of a non-standard variety
of Italian which spoken in the south of Italy.
In section 4 of this paper I am going to compare standard Italian and French.
2. Morphology.
Italian exhibits a very rich inflectional morphology, i.e. a great number of verb endings and
noun endings. One specific verb ending is able to give several pieces of information: person,
number, tense, and mood. For example, -eremo in example (1 a) indicates that the verb is a first
plural person, the tense is future, and the mood is indicative. The verb ending -endo in example
(1 b) tells us that the verb is a gerund and it is present, and no person is expressed by the
ending.

PSY 240 Stratford University Elements of Reasoning Critical Thinking Essay Writing Assignment Help

The Elements of Reasoning

Remember, your initial post should be at least 300 words and your replies should be at least 100 words each.

By now, you’ve become pretty familiar with the concept of Critical Thinking. To become a master at it, understanding the basic elements of how we think is, well…critical. There are 8 basic elements of thought and reasoning and this week, we get to explore them!

Begin by exploring this interactive wheel on the 8 Elements of Reasoning.

https://www.criticalthinking.org/?notice=That+page+is+no+longer+available

Click on each one to learn more about how each element contributes to the way that we think!

Initial Post:

What are the benefits of incorporating these elements of reasoning into your everyday thinking? Go around the wheel and expound upon the usefulness of each element, especially as it relates to thinking in your particular field of study. Be specific, and provide examples where necessary.

Reply Posts:

Respond to two of your classmates’ postings. Offer them your input on critical thinking and reasoning methods that might assist them in their own thought processes.

1st classmate’s post to respond to:

I agree that reasoning is related to thinking in a critical way, it helps with forming an opinion or a judgement on a certain issue. Incorporating the eight elements of thinking would in fact help you solve these issues in a healthy way. I agree in order to be a nurse it is important to have a purpose; I agree that with nursing one must in fact have a passion for helping people. I also believe it is important to set a realist goal to be a certain type of nurse like for example a triage nurse, which is what I am gearing towards. As a nurse you will be faced with challenges and in most cases, you will be responsible for assisting in figuring out a medical problem. Being able to pinpoint key questions, for example when triaging a patient, it is important to ask very precise questions in order for the patient to be treated correctly. Having accurate information is also important when it comes to reasoning. For example, knowing the different types of medication a patient is taking is a very important information, that would need to document along with any medical history that patient has had. Concepts are simply ideas when working with a team of nurses, I agree that presenting different idea on how to make the patient experience better while in our care is always helpful. It is important for people to only make justified assumptions. I think working as a nurse one should never assume when dealing with a patient. You must ask questions so that a conclusion can be drawn. In some cases when an assumption is drawn there are consequences that may be involved. For example, if a patient comes into the emergency room and appears to be intoxicated, you cannot assume that the patient is on drugs, you have to take the necessary steps and get proper test to find a diagnosis.

2nd classmate’s post to respond to:

Critical thinking is the ability to be in control of one’s thinking. It includes the ability to consciously examine the elements of one’s reasoning, or that of another, and evaluate that reasoning against universal intellectual standards such as clarity, accuracy, precision, relevance, depth, breadth, and logic. It also involves the structured examination of sources of information.

Reasoning leads somewhere and has implications and consequences. Thinking that leads nowhere has no value. Reasoning starts somewhere and takes up somewhere else; to a new conclusion on an issue and these conclusions have implications. For human beings, our thinking governs what we say and do which in turn have implications; when we reach new conclusions, these will have new implications.

We often construct arguments and theories that are designed specifically to achieve certain outcomes that we desire without considering what other implications are entailed within that reasoning, or what would happen if it was generalized to all. Being responsible for our thinking and actions means tracing out the implications and consequences that follow from one’s reasoning, taking things to their natural conclusions and asking would that lead to a rational outcome for all.

Critical Thinking and Arguments

Welcome to Week 4’s discussion board! This week’s discussion will require your critical thinking hat.

A crucial part of critical thinking is to identify, construct, and evaluate arguments. In everyday life, people often use “argument” to mean a quarrel between people. However, in logic and critical thinking, an argument is a list of statements, one of which is the conclusion and the others are the premises or assumptions of the argument. To give an argument is to provide a set of premises as reasons for accepting the conclusion. To give an argument is not necessarily to attack or criticize someone. Arguments can also be used to support other people’s viewpoints!

To begin, view these two videos on

Initial Post:
Then, prepare a response that answers the following question:

“Do you think the economy is going to improve or worsen in the next six months? Why or why not?”

What arguments can you give to support your position?

Use APA formatted citations for every source you use to support your evaluation of that statement.

Response Posts:

Do you agree or disagree with your classmates’ arguments? Or, perhaps you can offer an opposing argument?Be sure to respond to one other student.

1st classmate’s post to respond to:

Obviously, most jurisdictions globally have experienced a shift in their respective economic status in recent times. In essence, this can be attributed to copious aspects such as the COVID-19 global pandemic that has affected most of the organizations (Supyan, 2020). However, regardless of the decline in the economic status in the past few months, the economy is anticipated to improve in the next six months. Apparently, this can be supported significantly by several undertakings that are currently being realized.

Primarily, most organizations are now initiating imperative measures to ensure that the economy is impacted significantly. For instance, in recent times, most companies had laid off a significant number of their employees, negatively impacting the economy. However, a good number of these companies have commenced their operations usually, and as a result, they have called their employees back. In essence, this event will help ensure that the economy revives appropriately since there will be sufficient circulation of resources in the market, promoting economic growth.

Secondly, various governmental agencies are putting up significant initiatives that will enhance the economy. One of the initiatives is that of tax reduction. Remarkably, reducing levies is anticipated to aid in the economy’s growth since most individuals will be able to conduct their businesses stress-free (Clauberg, 2019). In precision, the moment business operations are undertaken smoothly, there will be some significant capital generation level, which is vital in any economy’s growth.

Eventually, it is certainly evident that the economy will grow based on the imperative bank loans being offered by most banks to their clients. Contemporarily, banks are now offering diverse loans and imperative waiver periods, enabling persons to conduct their commercial dealings properly. As a consequence, this move will see the growth of the economy within the next six months.

Final Reflection

As the term comes to a close, take time to reflect upon what you will take away from this class and how your approach to critical thinking will change or has already changed as you continue on your educational and career journey.

Over these last 5 weeks, you have learned how critical thinking works, and what elements best support you in being a critical thinker. However, you also learned that there are quite a few things that, unfortunately, can trip us up when it comes to our ability to think critically. As a refresher, review once more the presentation on the Impediments to Critical Thinking.

Initial Post:

Of the impediments you have been studying, which is most challenging for you? Which do you have to work on the most in order to overcome it/them? Which is the most prevalent among your colleagues or peers? Provide a response in 300+ words.

Business Ethics Standards of Business and Moral Principles Essay Business Finance Assignment Help

Business ethics is an important aspect not only of this course but in your future careers. You will be faced with many decisions in which your ability to make a good decision is based on your ability to see how the decision affects various stakeholders as well as the business itself. Watch the following YouTube Ted Talk videos and write a report on ethics in business.

Why Do Ethics Matter? (Links to an external site.) – Shefali Roy

What Really Motivates People to Be Honest in Business? (Links to an external site.) – Alexander Wagner

Assume you are the manager of a factory that emits waste (air pollution) through a smokestack. you have recently undergone an inspection and are within the requirements set by the EPA for the pollutants you emit. You are aware however that there is a high instance of respiratory illnesses in the area near your plant. A new “scrubber” (an air pollution control device used to remove particulates and/or gases from industrial exhaust streams) has recently become available that could reduce your emissions even further. The cost of this new equipment is $1M – not a small sum no matter how large your business is – and you will have to lay off several employees to cover that cost. The profitability of the firm may also suffer due to decreased [profits and a lowering of the stock price.

In a 750-1000-word paper explain how you will go about deciding whether or not to add the scrubber to your stack. Be sure to mention topics discussed in both videos so that I know you have watched them. Please do not just start out with your decision but explain the process you will use in making the decision, who is affected by it and how you can justify it to those negatively affected.
