Santa Monica College Rexona Research Essay Writing Assignment Help
Now is your opportunity to apply the skills learned in this course to something you do every day: morning grooming with various grooming, hygiene, or cosmetic products. For many Americans, morning is the time at which they are exposed to the most toxins, and morning is the time at which they consume the most products that may be harmful to other people, animals, and the environment. This assignment is an opportunity for you to learn about one grooming/hygiene/cosmetic product you use while you get ready for your day.
Choose a grooming or hygiene product that you use daily, or almost daily, as you “get ready” for work or school. It should be a product about which you have little knowledge; it can be anything from your toothpaste to your shampoo to your lipstick. Now do extensive research on that product. Your research should include the following findings:
- The specific name/brand of the specific product you are researching
- The ingredients of the product,
- Any potential harm those ingredients may cause to you, or to the environment (use the skills you acquired in chapters 10 and 11 on generalizations from samples to causal studies to help interpret the findings…actually discuss the studies that “prove” that the ingredient is harmful in some way),
- Where the ingredients are acquired and any potential environmental or human damage the acquisition of those ingredients may cause (so feel free to discuss human rights issues that you think are relevant)
- Any potential harm the actual manufacturing of the product may cause, from the people who make the product, to the waste products from the factory,
- Any other information you find useful for the purposes of this assignment.
The goal of this assignment is for you to become better informed about the impact a small action can have on you and the world, and be more aware of how you are affected by the world around you. Your essay should prove why the product is bad or harmful in some way, so you are essentially presenting an argument based on the findings of your research. The skills from chapter 1 about the components of an argument should be employed in your essay; the concepts from chapter 4 about credibility of sources will be relevant here, as you must use sources that are reliable in your essay (and do not forget to cite your sources in MLA format both in text and at the end of your essay); the concepts from chapters 10 and 11 will help you to interpret any studies you may find; and you must avoid the use of rhetorical devices and fallacies in your essay, thus the concepts of chapters 5, 6, and 7 are important in your essay.
- Your essay should be a minimum of 1500 words, not including your “Works Cited” section at the end of your essay. Your essay should not exceed 3000 words.
requires:
Introduction
Product and use is described with ingredients listed.
Research is demonstrated in analyzing the ingredients.
Work cited is included at the end, and citations are in the main text
There are no grammatical errors.
Critical engagement with the research demonstrates applied critical thinking.
The paper is submitted on time. No more than 10% is directly from the internet

Ohio University The Birds Methodologies to Film Criticism Discussion Paper Health Medical Assignment Help
Workshop 5: The Body of the Essay
Select one of the methodologies (approaches) to film criticism discussed in this module that you find most useful for writing a critical essay on The Birds (Hitchcock, 1963).
Research the film, using online academic search resources like Alden Library’s Articles Plus (https://www.library.ohiou.edu/) or Google Scholar (https://scholar.google.com/). You may also do more general (non-academic) searches online. Avoid Wikipedia, blogs, etc.)
Write the body of an essay that utilizes the approach you have selected and the research for an essay on The Birds. DO NOT write the intro and conclusion. Your thesis should be clear to your reader from the evidence you present.
Remember that in a critical essay, each paragraph should present information (research summary, textual evidence, etc) that supports a single thesis.
Consider using the following structure:
Summary of chosen method and explanation of why it is useful for The Birds. Summary of the research and its application to the film.
Character and Narrative Description of the film or a significant portion of the film. Scene Description 1 (Describe a scene that is important for your analysis).
Scene Description 1 (Describe a scene that is important for your analysis). Keep the following in mind:
1. Although you are not writing the introduction and the conclusion, each of your paragraphs should support a central thesis. Therefore, you must know what your thesis is. Furthermore, your reader should be able to determine your thesis by reading the body of the essay alone. As an experiment, have someone else read your paper and ask them what your thesis would be.
2. Consult general information about the film found online to get a sense of how other critics and academics have thought about this film.
3. Keep in mind the lessons from previous Writing Spotlights. In particular, remember to revise your essay for concision.
4. Build on your work. You have already done a lot of the tasks necessary for this assignment in other aspects of this Module, such as the Discussion Board and the Comprehension Exercise. Feel free to reuse (and revise) work you have already done.
5. When in doubt, ask for help!
We look forward to reading your ideas about this unique film!

Below is the info of the case study
Adult/Geriatric Depression
Hispanic Male With MDD
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The client is a 32-year-old Hispanic American male who came to the United States when he was in high school with his father. His mother died back in Mexico when he was in school. He presents today to the PMHNPs office for an initial appointment for complaints of depression. The client was referred by his PCP after “routine” medical work-up to rule out an organic basis for his depression. He has no other health issues with the exception of some occasional back pain and “stiff” shoulders which he attributes to his current work as a laborer in a warehouse.
SUBJECTIVE
During today’s clinical interview, client reports that he always felt like an outsider as he was “teased” a lot for being “black” in high school. States that he had few friends, and basically kept to himself. He describes his home life as “good.” Stating “Dad did what he could for us, there were 8 of us.” He also reports a remarkably diminished interest in engaging in usual activities, states that he has gained 15 pounds in the last 2 months. He is also troubled with insomnia which began about 6 months ago, but have been progressively getting worse. He does report poor concentration which he reports is getting in “trouble” at work.
MENTAL STATUS EXAM
The client is alert, oriented to person, place, time, and event. He is casually dressed. Speech is clear, but soft. He does not readily make eye contact, but when he does, it is only for a few moments. He is endorsing feelings of depression. Affect is somewhat constricted, but improves as the clinical interview progresses. He denies visual or auditory hallucinations, no overt delusional or paranoid thought processes readily apparent. Judgment and insight appear grossly intact. He is currently denying suicidal or homicidal ideation. The PMHNP administers the “Montgomery- Asberg Depression Rating Scale (MADRS)” and obtained a score of 51 (indicating severe depression).
RESOURCES
§ Montgomery, S. A., & Asberg, M. (1979). A new depression scale designed to be sensitive to change. British Journal of Psychiatry, 134, 382-389.
Decision Point One
Select what the PMHNP should do:
Begin zoloft 25 mg orally daily
Begin Effexor XR 37.5 mg orally daily
Begin Phenelzine 15 mg orally TID
Decision Point One answer that I selected
Begin Effexor XR 37.5 mg orally daily
AFTER TAKEN EFFEXOR XR 37.5MG BELOW IS THE RESULTS OF DECISION POINT ONE
- Client returns to clinic in four weeks
- Client reports that there is no change in depressive symptoms at all
Decision Point Two
Select what the PMHNP should do next:
Increase dose to 75 mg of Effexor XR orally daily
Change to Cymbalta 30 mg orally daily
Augment with an atypical antipsychotic
Decision Point Two
Increase dose to 75 mg of Effexor XR orally daily
RESULTS OF DECISION POINT TWO
- Client returns to clinic in four weeks
- Client reports an improvement in depressive symptoms
- Montgomery- Asberg Depression Rating Scale (MADRS) decreased from 51 to 38 (25% reduction)
Decision Point Three
Select what the PMHNP should do next:
Increase dose to 112.5 mg orally daily
Continue same dose of medication
Augment with Wellbutrin XL 150 mg orally daily
Decision Point Three
Increase dose to 112.5 mg orally daily
Guidance to Student
At this point, the PMHNP would have two choices to discuss with the client- the current dose of drug can be maintained if the client is feeling better and is not offering any complaints of side effects. The dose can also be increased at this point, but the PMHNP must counsel client regarding the possibility of side effects. The use of an augmenting agent is not appropriate at this time as we have not reached a maximum dose with Effexor (in fact, 75 mg is still a relatively small dose), displaying primarily SSRI properties only (recall that at lower doses, Effexor exerts a greater effect on serotonergic receptors than norepinephrine at low doses).
