Higher Global is an international company with branches on multiple continents. Employees who work in the corporate center, located in the United States, are constantly sent to other countries. All employees must participate in a training session that covers how to do business in other countries. The Human Resources department conducts a symposium every month to train employees on this topic. Your class is the training team that develops the symposium. The class is divided into teams to develop presentations. 

Select a country as a topic for your Problem-Solving Presentation. 

Obtain facilitator approval of the country your team has selected. 

Outline your speech, using an effective organizational format. 

Create a 15- to 20-minute presentation, based on your outline, in which your Learning Team explains its findings and recommendations on how to do business in that country. Follow the reflective-thinking decision-making method explained in Ch. 19 of The Art of Public Speakingwhen preparing your presentation. 

Use an effective organization, and include an introduction and conclusion. Determine the best supporting materials and visuals to use. The following points must be covered: 

• Overview of the culture: Is the culture formal or informal? How does the culture view punctuality? Country Japan
• Identification of verbal and nonverbal communication differences
• Explanation of cultural business norms found in the country, including greetings, meetings, dress, and gifts in Japan

Submit the outline of your speech along with the speech recording. 

Include a minimum of three scholarly references formatted consistent with APA guidelines on your outline.

Write a 1,000 word essay on ANY of
the following topics:

1. To what extent can Dickens be
described as a Marxist writer? Discuss.

2. Fact, fiction or text? Analyze
one post-millennium novel in the light of recent French literary and
philosophical theory.

3. With reference to two 20th century
writers, discuss the extent to which their work

Succeeded in making an art of
political writing

4. With reference to current theory
and/or cultural context illustrate the ways in which a write might challenge
the conventions separating reader from author

The manner in which you structure
your analysis is totally dependent on you, and it should not exceed 1,000 words
(excluding abstract, references, bibliography, appendix, and table of contents).

As a guide,

• Your work must be fully referenced
in the Harvard referencing style

• Your work must include an
abstract, introduction, body and conclusion.

• You must refer to recently
published Academic and medical journals, newspaper articles, economic data and books
when conducting your research

• Your analysis should be written up
to at least a 65% standard.

The essay would be assessing the following,

• Your research skills

•Your written English skills

•Your ability to conduct analysis on
non-readily available data, and write concise but high quality reports and
analysis

•Your knowledge of Politics related
subjects

•Your ability to write structured
and accurate reports and analysis, especially when detailed assessment
guidelines are not provided

After viewing the full program, you must post a short commentary (200-300 words) that reflects on the documentary in light of last week’s focus on labor issues. 

In your initial post, you should consider: 1) what does the documentary tell us about the changing nature of commodity chains? 2) What new challenges has this created for labor? 3) How has branding and marketing changed in the last three decades? 4) How are workers responding to these issues?

You must also write a short substantive response (100-150 words each) to two posts I upload below.

you think about your classroom, school, center, or other learning environment
how will you incorporate learning theory into your program?

In the assignment for this week you will be creating a plan for
including theory into your learning environment. Your plan should include
concepts from at least three theorists.

Your plan should include:

• An introduction

• Description of each theory

• Application of each theory into your learning
  environment- both the physical environment and the learning environment.

• Conclusion

• References

This is not a research paper, but rather an implementation plan.
Your paper can include charts, graphs, and/or visuals to support your planning.
You will also want to divide the paper with headings and be sure to reference
all information that you collect from outside sources.
