They only hire great workers, he said. The company would hold the positions for months to make sure they hire high calibrated people for the open positions. They believe in hiring people for next level. For example, if there is any opportunity in leadership, they can promote someone with in. The leadership highly believe in communication and within the organization and they keep their employee engage and motivate by sharing information. They also pay 50% to 100% percent higher than other business which can help attract good talent and keep their employees happy. The container store uses Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs by meeting the employee expectations. The container store pays 50% to 100% higher than the standard labor rate to meet the physiological needs of employees. They provide trainings and tools that employee needs to do their jobs. Furthermore, they help their employees to grow personally and professionally.

Hello Everyone,

The container store has been voted as one of the best places to work for quite a few years for Fortune Magazine. To earn their title they have to have a unique method that ensures that not only their products are top notch, but their employees are as well. According to Garrett Boone the co-founder of the company, they focus on only the best employees for their company. In fact one of their foundation principles states that 1 great person equals 3 lousy people. If they do not believe they are hiring the correct person for the position they will hold it until someone comes along who is qualified to fill that role. They also use the logic that the person they are hiring will be a manager, even ones that are only hired as seasonal workers. This and a combination of company effort to motivate their employees has significantly decreased the turnover rate, especially in the retail industry.

The container stores utilizes Maslow’s theory Y in treating its employees. This means that they have a very relaxed atmosphere that allows employees to think for themselves instead of being micromanaged by their leaders. Instead of believing that people are simply there to use like machines, they genuinely care about their employees and understand that mistakes may be made at any time.

Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs is used to analyze motivation of consumers. It provides the foundation for higher level of motivations to become available to the needs of people to attain. It suggest that people to be satisfied by all physiological needs before they move on to higher needs. The Container Store’s selection process helped to create their success by hiring great people. For example, 1 average = 3 lousy person 1 great=3 good people 1 good= 3 average. The Container Store also holds out months and months for the best person and most of the employees were customers first. The Container Store use Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs to create its foundation of HR practices by using the five needs 1. Physiological needs 2. Safety needs 3. Social needs 4. Esteem needs 5. Self-actualization needs uses this so they can meet employees needs. The Container Store uses the Maslow Hierarchy for their business because they consider human needs of all levels and provides motivations to their employees.

This is my theory research

My interest area will be identifying infections among childrenup to adolescence age in hospitals or day-clinics, coming up with solutions to curb the same then doing comparisons to determine whether the intervention was effective. This will be in line with my job description which requires that I prevent diseases among children, promote the children’s health care, have home care plans in place for the well-being of children, ensure health growth and development of children and ensure that the life of children is normalized while hospitalized. My research study will conform to PICO, having a problem, interventions, comparisons and the outcomes of the study (Hastings, & Fisher, 2014). The problem under study is infections among children, the intervention will be hand washing, comparison with other unit or hospital and the expected outcome will be decreased infections and safe patients.

Infectious diseases are the cause of most children deaths. The good thing is that they can be prevented and pediatric nurses have a crucial role to play in identifying the causes and the prevention of infections among children. This is because they are equipped with vast knowledge and skills on the same. The infections may be contradicted in the children day-care facilities, in their homes or even in hospitals. Children are prone to infections due to the fact that they are not informed about what a hazard to their health is. This role is thus bestowed on parents and the children nurses. Infectious diseases are easily spread from one person to another even by a mere touch and therefore the strategies or interventions in place should encourage personal hygiene among children, their peers and even their parents. This way, we will greatly save the lives that are lost due to infectious diseases. This will be in line with the expected outcomes to ensure patients are safe and infections among children are reduced (Smith, & Parker, 2015).

From the chapter two of the book on Analysis, Evaluation and Selection of Middle Range Theory by Timothy S. Bredow, I was able to identify the theories that are most suitable for my study. When the analysis, evaluation and selection of a middle range theory is done carefully, the nursing student as well as nurses themselves are always sure to get the guidance needed for the research being undertaken (Bredow, 2009). This was arrived at by analyzing theories on nursing which were developed by scholars in the past about the theory. Evaluation involves judging the components of the theory against set of pre-determined criteria. Evaluation of a theory is very crucial as it helps measure how appropriate the theory is to the research the nursing student is undertaking. The evaluation of a middle range theory has a process that helps the students come up with the most appropriate theory (Smith, & Liehr, 2018). The theory should have adequate information, put in a clear manner, it should be consistent, have a logical development, have a consistent level of development, it should be real, should be pragmatic (operational in real-life settings), a narrow range ofscope, have significant results and it should generate hypotheses that are researchable.

3.Research Interest.Research interest and PICO question: Briefly discuss your area of research and state your PICO question. Provide any definitions as needed. For example if you are discussing elderly you may want to define what age group you consider elderly .

Theory and Research. Discuss how the theory and the selected concepts support your research question. Note. you may have draw discuss inferences to the PICO question and concept. For example in my study of delirium I used the theory of Comfort. For the concept of nursing process I drew inferences that a nurses beliefs and knowledge affect the development of nursing interventions. The idea of beliefs and knowledge were not explicitly stated in the concept but can be drawn from that concept question.
