The third assignment aims to develop your understanding of customer profiling based on demographics and psychographics frameworks, as well as analytics skills in data collection and text mining. The assignment comprises two independent tasks.
First task is to design a data collection methodology that addresses business expectations for each customer segment outlined in the case study. Second task is to use text analytics in R programming to synthesise a text corpora of MBTI personality types.
Task 01
Following an impressive demonstration of descriptive analytics capabilities, Domainsights, the recently formed real estate buyer’s advocacy firm, has approached you again, this time to improve their understanding of potential customer segments and their expectations. To this end, they have conducted an initial demographic analysis and superimposed Roy Morgan value segments™ on analysis findings, which uncovered following direct demographic mappings.
Area |
Value segment |
Northern suburbs |
Socially aware |
Eastern suburbs |
Visible achievement |
Southern suburbs |
Real conservatism |
Western suburbs |
Young optimism |
As the next phase of the project, they want to understand service expectations of this diverse clientele from different parts of Melbourne. You have been consulted to develop a data collection methodology for this phase.
Roy Morgan value segments™
Demographic analysis (or demographic segmentation), also known as population analysis is frequently used in business analytics to better understand the current and potential client base. Demographic analysis focuses on factual circumstances of the customer, such as age, gender, income, education, ethnicity etc. Demographics can be segmented into several markets to help an organization target its consumers more accurately. With this type of segmentation, an organization can categorize the needs of consumers and attempt to develop targeted business strategies.
Psychographic analysis (or lifestyle analysis) is another technique in customer analytics where instead of factual information the focus is on interests, activities and opinions of the current and target customers. Psychographics attempts to classify customer sentiments towards products, based on general customer values and beliefs, what products are needed, why they are needed and how they choose what they purchase.
Roy Morgan Values Segments – devised by Michele Levine of Roy Morgan Research and Colin Benjamin of The Horizons Network, are presented as “an innovative system of market segmentation that goes beyond demographics and psychographics to explore the values, mindsets and attitudes that motivate consumer behaviour”. Roy Morgan Research is a Melbourne based market research and consultancy firm. The value segments are publicly accessible from their website – http://www.roymorgan.com/products/valuessegments.
What you are required to do:
- Develop an understanding of the Roy Morgan value segments – segmentation process and value segments.
- Determine customer expectations for each area. (e.g. what are the real estate interests of customers in the northern suburbs?)
- Formulate a data collection methodology (consisting of one (or several) observational studies and experiments) to collect this information from customers. Present your formulation at the highest level of detail – including questions you will ask different customers and potential answers. Consider all aspects of data collection covered in topic five.
Task 02
Task 02 aims to assess text analytics skills in R and comprehension of a psychological segmentation framework, The Myers–Briggs Type Indicator.
MBTI personality test
Katharine Cook Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs Myers developed the MBTI personality test and metrics, based on the theoretical work of Carl Jung. Jung proposed that individuals experience the world using four principal psychological functions – sensation, intuition, feeling, and thinking – and that one of these four functions is dominant for a person most of their life. A formulating assumption of MBTI is that each individual is different in how they perceive the world and this difference underlies their unique interests, needs, values, and motivation. Although MBTI has been disputed by some academics (even called an “elaborate Chinese fortune cookie”), it remains useful and continues to be applied, in fact quite popular in business scenarios.
More information and the actual test can be found at: https://www.16personalities.com/free-personalityte… and many other resources online.
Text data
The compressed folder “MBTI-text.zip” contains 16 files for the 16 types. Each file contains online forum discussions categorised by the individual’s MBTI classification. For instance, INFJ.txt contains comments, opinions contributed by individuals classified as INFJ type.
What you are required to do:
- Develop an understanding of the 16 MBTI types (and perhaps even your own type).
- Apply text analytics techniques (learned in class) to pre-process and analyse the text corpora.
- Similar to assignment 02, formulate a structured, commented R script for this exercise.
- Interpret your findings and determine if there is an association between the text analytics outcomes and the theoretical basis of MBTI.
Report guidelines
- Choose a fitting sequence of sections/topics for the body of the report. Two sections for the two tasks are essential, you may add other sections deemed relevant.
- Page limit: 6-10 pages.
- Reports should be written in Microsoft Word (font size 11) and ONLY submitted as a Word file.
- Submit the complete R script (*.R file) for task 02.

Need help with this 2 Questions about Location-based computing and Dangerous Data Computer Science Assignment Help
CHECK FILE ATTACHED FOR BETTER VIEW OF THE QUESTIONS
Question 1
- a.Imagine that you have been asked to propose a strategy for tracking competitors in an orienteering race across Dartmoor. What location determining approach would be most appropriate?
- b.Briefly describe how location is determined using this approach.
- c.The correct approach in answer to part a of this question would not work in a taster event in a shopping centre held indoors. Why not? What alternative approach to determining location might you suggest in that case? (You do not need to describe how location is determined in this case.)
Hint: You may want to look ahead at part c of this question. Part c provides further information about the location determining approach expected in answer to the current part (i.e. Part a).
Question 2
- a.In the summer of 2015, the organizing body for the American Democratic Party, the Democratic National Committee (DNC), was targeted by hackers believed to be working for the Russian government. The attack began when certain DNC employees were targeted by emails containing links to malicious software. At least one of these email messages was opened and the malware activated. This malware then spread on Committee’s internal network where it remained undetected for many months.
- i.What name is given to this type of campaign of soliciting information from particular individuals?
- ii.What term is given to a hack where an attacker uses a series of attacks to gain access to a system and remains undetected for a long time?
- iii.Explain which, if any, of the CIA principles were threatened in the attack. For each of the CIA principles explain why it was or was not threatened.
- b.How might email users protect themselves against such attacks by criminals and state actors? Use an internet search to provide two or three simple guidelines suitable for a relative novice email user. Your answer should be no more than 300 words and you must provide your sources as references (using the OU Harvard style) at the end of your answer. The references do not count towards the word limit. Your use of English, spelling and grammar will all be marked as well as technical content of your answer.
During this time, it stole data from the DNC, including highly-confidential political campaign information, which was then distributed to media outlets hostile to the Democratic Party. It is thought that this attack may have contributed to the Democrats losing the general election in November 2016.

The Search For Leadership Paper Business Finance Assignment Help
You are the CEO of a major consumer technology corporation. The company is global and offers remote employment, in addition to numerous physical locations. It distributes the products through different global wholesalers to reach retailers who in turn sell to the ultimate consumer. Your job is to find a new president for the organization. The past president has retired after 25 years of service. You will have to explain to the board of directors what criteria will be used in the search for a new company president.
In your paper:
- Explain what being a leader is, and what traits are needed to be an effective leader.
- Describe the type of leadership style and skills needed for the position.
- Analyze the importance of attending to tasks and relationships.
- Explain the importance of a leader following and communicating a vision, and setting the tone.
- Examine the necessity for a leader to have good out-group member skills, as well as the ability to handle conflict and overcome obstacles.
- Justify the needed ethical leadership traits for this position
-
- Must be five to six double-spaced pages in length (not including title and references pages) and formatted according to APA style
- Must include a separate title page with the following:
- Title of paper
- Student’s name
- Course name and number
- Instructor’s name
- Date submitted
- Must begin with an introductory paragraph that has a succinct thesis statement.
- Must address the topic of the paper with critical thought.
- Must end with a conclusion that reaffirms your thesis.
- Must use at least five scholarly sources
I wanted to encourage you, acknowledge that this is a challenging assignment, and I wanted to give you a little help.
1) As you determine what kind of leader you’re recruiting for in this paper, consider the parameters set down in the assignment — justify the qualities you are seeking with a rationale that points back to the specific needs of the organization. If you say you are looking for a task-oriented leader, tell me what it is about the organization that requires this kind of leader. The announcement I posted last week covers this in depth.
2) Don’t be afraid to get creative. Add more parameters — is this a company that’s had problems with community relations in the past? Has there been a major scandal to deal with in the past five years? Has a new competitor entered the marketplace? The more you can describe your company, the more you will be able to target the kind of leader you will need. The more creative you are, the higher your critical thinking score will probably be. Again, I know I’ve already said this, but I think it bears repeating.

Discuss in depth #2 which focuses no single ratio fitting all situations Business Finance Assignment Help

Per the 2014 Hunting the Big Cats of Fraud – Tips for Fraud Investigators
1. Ask as many questions as necessary, and evaluate the answers for reasonability. “If you don’t understand something on a financial statement, or it seems unusual, ask for support documentation” “Test it for reasonableness in terms of your understanding of the company’s expenses and income and the business environment in its industry and locality. If your reasonableness test reveals any red flags, perform ratio analyses. Be sure to compare the company with at least two others or with industry-wide values. Company statistics by industry — number of employees, sales and so on — are available online, and I’ve used them in numerous investigations. Some are available only by subscription, while others are free.”
2. Be flexible. No single ratio fits all situations. So choose a ratio appropriate for your client’s industry and type of business. If you can’t find one, use a universally applicable calculation, such as days’ sales outstanding in accounts receivable. Rratios don’t prove fraud, but they can help you detect fraud that otherwise might not be evident.
3. Stay on track. “To conceal red flags, fraudsters will tell you that the support documentation you want isn’t available,” Sizemore says. “Most red flags have legitimate causes, such as management’s inability to run the business effectively. But the only way you can tell is to check the support documentation,” he adds.
4. Don’t expect the auditors to catch everything. “CFEs need to understand the pressure on audit firms to keep their fees lower than those of their competitors,” Sizemore says. “Since fees are based on billable hours, auditors must complete their engagements quickly. So they’re tempted to minimize their review of support documentation and to not evaluate all fraud risk. Fraudsters take advantage of that.”
5. Don’t be fooled. Investigators should be professionally skeptical, asking for documentation that supports questionable assertions in financial statements. For example, if the documentation supporting accounts receivable indicates that a certain customer owes the company money, call that customer to confirm what the documentation says. Never be accusatory, but question as many people as necessary.
6. Anticipate the unlikely. “When you begin an engagement, always be mindful that it could wind up in court,” Sizemore says. “I see it all the time: you get deposed, your report becomes a point of contention, and everything you said, your emails, your interview notes, end up being challenged. So do everything by the book and document it all. The case you think will never end up in court is the one in which you will end up testifying.”
