Job Summary
Corporate Banking Analysts (“Analysts”) support prospecting, idea generation, and transaction execution activities for corporate banking relationships (companies with annual revenues of $1MM to $50 million or more). Analysts develop the experience to function as the second or third person in a relationship team for advisory, financing, and other treasury and capital markets pitch activity, as well as transaction execution.
Analysts create and analyze financial models, develop client presentations, and conduct industry research. Analysts also serve as key members of lending and capital raising transaction teams, providing credit underwriting support, drafting client presentations, and facilitating the deal process from start to finish. Corporate Banking Analysts play a meaningful role on the team, and work closely with senior corporate banking professionals to help drive the growth of the business.
Analysts also underwrites and manages the capital we commit to our corporate client base. Analysts work together with Commercial Bankers, Product Specialists, Credit Analysts and Loan Administrators to deliver capital and strategic ideas to the Freedom’s client base. Post close of a transaction, Analysts support the credit relationship with their clients and actively manage and monitor the credit profile and exposure levels across their portfolios.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Analyst’s ability to effectively underwrite and manage the Bank’s capital commitments is driven by solid credit analysis, deep understanding of industry sectors covered, and a regular interaction with management of our corporate client base. Analysts are responsible for carrying out the credit analysis process, conducting a thorough analysis of the credit quality of both the client and the respective industry to ensure appropriate risk and return for Freedom’s capital investment. After committing to a transaction, the Analyst follows clients’ performance, analyzing industry performance, and assisting with the management of the risk/return profile of their assigned loan portfolio.

- Helping complete documentation required for transaction execution

Experience/Skills
Analysts participate in six weeks of on-line and classroom instruction utilizing Moody’s Analytics Omega Performance training that consists of accounting, modeling, corporate finance, underwriting, and financial analysis designed to give analysts the tools they will need to be successful within their team. Classroom instruction will include an introduction to capital markets products and services, corporate finance, and financial model training. After the classroom training, Analysts will join either an industry practice group or geographic coverage group to focus on developing client relationships through industry expertise and local relationships, delivering a full range of debt capital raising and treasury management solutions.
