  1. Using the history of Westward Expansion, which you’ve read in Eric Foner’s Chapter 16, write a one-page response to and interpretation of “Gold Rush Brides,” its music and lyrics. Use Foner’s narrative to analyze the song’s various meanings and references to the experience of American history. In other words, please consider the themes of the song and how you might interpret its meaning using Eric Foner’s chapter on Westward Expansion and the Gilded Age. Be specific. Refer to the lyrics in your response and refer to Foner’s chapter. When thinking about the song, consider its point of view and the ways in which its point of view upholds or challenges dominant, cultural understandings of the “Wild West.”

Write on the topic Designing Healthy Communities for Healthy Living Writing Assignment Help

1. Develop a 1 page executive summary about the topic, “Designing Healthy Communities for Healthy Living

Please follow the guide below to write a 3 page paper.

a) Is the public health topic clearly related to one or more documented health
outcomes? What is the evidence for the relationship? (In some cases, provide a more
specific definition for the behavior; for example, if a topic concerned “physical
activity” possibly choose to narrow the behavior to “walking for exercise.” Also, the
student may wish to select one particular health outcome to focus on).
b) How common (prevalent) is the public health topic? How common
(prevalent) is the health outcome? The assigned topics indicate a potential population
of interest, but may need to be defined more specifically (for example, if the assigned
topic says “in adolescents,” is there a particular geographic or demographic group of
interest?).
c) Background information about the public health topic – What makes the
public health topic more likely to occur? What makes the public health topic relevant?
Some things to examine could be characteristics of the public health topic itself (for
example, the behavior might be very pleasurable, habitual, or involve addiction), the
individual (personal characteristics), society (social norms, what others are doing) and
the larger environment (resources, policies) that make the public health topic easier or
more difficult to address.
d) Reference formatting, clarity, and mechanics (e.g., grammar, spelling,
punctuation, proper citations). References should include primary peer- reviewed literature
and government reports; as a general rule, do not cite Web pages except in unusual circumstances,
for example, to identify organizational policies or to describe the type of information or advice
generally available to the public.

Discussion question (math) Mathematics Assignment Help

This week we’ve talked about polynomials and their properties. Polynomials show up in the real world a lot more than you would think! Applications can be found in physics, economics, meteorology, and more.

One real-world example of a degree-two polynomial is the projectile motion equation used in physics: h left parenthesis t right parenthesis equals minus 1 half a t squared plus v subscript 0 t plus h subscript 0

Details about this formula can be found at the brainfuse.com website.

For example, if you hit a baseball at shoulder height (say about 4 f t comma space 6 space i n c h e s space minus space h subscript 0 equals 4.5 f t), you may have an initial velocity of aroundv subscript 0 equals 89.5 m p h. The force of gravity is about a equals 32 f t divided by s squared..

We can convert our miles to hour to feet per second (89.5 mph = 131.3 ft/s) and create an equation that would model the height of the ball at time t:

h left parenthesis t right parenthesis equals minus 1 half left parenthesis 32 right parenthesis t squared plus 131.3 t plus 4.5

For the discussion this week we will use this equation in a baseball application. Techniques from 1.4 and 3.1 will be used. Show all of your work!

  1. Pick a baseball player’s average exit velocity from this list and convert it to feet per second.
  2. Estimate the height in feet that the ball would be hit and plug this and your velocity into the position equation. Give the equation.
  3. Find the maximum height of the ball (vertex).
  4. Find when the ball hits the ground (zeros).
  5. What role do you think the angel of the hit would play in modifying this equation or the values?

Compare the maximum height of your classmate’s baseball to your own. What factors do you think contribute most to the differences in your values? Explain.

I WILL ATTACH THE BOOK CASE STUDY PAPER AND THE RUBRIC

THE BOOK CASE STUDT ATTACHMENT ONLY NEEDS

A few edits, such as rewarding a couple of sentences.

My instructor added comments on the right side of the paper. If they do not show up, click on the paper image on the right. Also their are comments at the bottom of the paper as well.

Need to answer this “
Are those strengths being maximized by the systems (community) impacting the person? How could those strengths be used to overcome poverty and oppression?”

Prompt:

You are required to read Enrique’s Journey (Nazario, 2007, 2014) and, using one or more individuals discussed in the book, create a case study in poverty. The case study should describe how the individual is impacted by poverty and the environment that contributes to poverty and oppression. The case study should conclude with your recommendations for improvement or change.

Note that this week video, which shows “La Beastia,” the train that Enrique took across part of

Mexico during his journeys to the U.S., and interviews individuals on the same journey and those who try to help them, will give additional insight as you develop your case study.

The website maintained by the author of Enrique’s Journey (Nazario, 2007, 2014) also gives

additional and more current information about Enrique and his family, Honduras, and

immigration policy

Your Tasks:

You are expected to write a 4 to 5 page paper exclusive of cover page and reference page. Your paper should be double spaced in time new roman 12 point font with 1 inch margins. Your paper is expected to be referenced appropriately, using APA style. ALL sources are to be referenced.

Failing to cite a source is considered academic dishonesty. Use third person throughout your

paper (not I); when making recommendations, you can say something like “Several

recommendations must be considered….” Instead of “I recommend”.

You should address the following questions in composing your case study:

• Who is your case study about? Give a brief description of the person and setting for

context in the introduction to your case study (be sure to reference thebook).

• What is this person’s experience with poverty and oppression? Give appropriate

examples as you describe her/his experiences.

• Using the ecological/systems framework, what micro, mezzo, and macro factors (or

micro, meso, exo, and macro factors depending on which source you use) contributed

to this person’s poverty andoppression?

• What strengths does the person possess that are enabling her/him to survive?

• Are those strengths being maximized by the systems (community) impacting the

person? How could those strengths be used to overcome poverty andoppression?

• What recommendations can you make to help this person and other members in

similar circumstances move out of poverty?

Be sure that you reference sources appropriately throughout your paper and include a reference

page (you will need to reference the Nazario book and the source(s) from which you obtained your information about the ecological/systems framework (levels of the environment). This paper is to demonstrate your ability to understand an individual’s experiences and the ways that the environment (particularly at the community and societal levels) impacts that person, in other words, your ability to think critically. It is not intended to be a research paper on poverty and oppression or on immigration. Thus, you should not need additional references/sources beyond your text and other readings included in this course. Although you may use other sources if you wish, you will be penalized if you do not also include sources required as part of this course.

sufficient) about narrative structure. The assignment has to be written
in an essay format (no bullet points) and submitted as hard copy. Times
New Roman, 12 pt font, double spaced, and standard margins.

Additionally, please note that:

  • You
are not expected to do any research or use external sources. You can

directly from them. That said, you don’t need to provide definitions for
the terms that you are using.
  • I will upload my lecture slides under the modules section so you can use those for reference (if needed) as well.
  • If
you are citing sources, you can use whichever style (APA, MLA, etc.)

but once again, write the paper in essay format so there are coherent
paragraphs that cover various narrative components of the films in a
    systematic way.
  • You don’t need an elaborate introduction or
conclusion since this is a short paper. Start directly with comparing
how the two films approach storytelling.
  • You don’t need lengthy plot summaries (limit summaries to 2-3 sentences). Address the films’ individual narrative components.
  • Since this is a short assignment, you can’t cover everything. Just focus on whatever strikes your interest.
  • Film titles are underlined or italicized. Pick one; be consistent.
  • The
first time you refer to the director, write his/her/their full name(s).
For any subsequent references to the director, just use their last
name. Also, you need to use the character names or the actor names

    systematic way.
For any subsequent references to the director, just use their last
name. Also, you need to use the character names or the actor names
consistently too. Ex: If you’re writing about Casablanca, don’t go back and forth between Rick and Humphrey Bogart, etc.
