Ashford University Assignment Submision Week 5 Final Paper

Completing the Annotated Bibliography

This week you’ll complete your annotated bibliography by locating one eBook that is related to your research question and writing an APA reference and annotation for it. You’ll also take the next step in the research process by converting your research question into a thesis statement.

Before you begin, be sure to read Module 4 in your textbook, and watch the Using Ebrary to Find e-books tutorial.

To get started, locate the keywords that you developed in week three. You will use these keywords to help you find an eBook that is related to your research question. For this assignment, you will use the Ashford Library’s Findit@AU databases. Be sure to choose the “eBooks” tab before you search.

After you have your eBook, you are ready to create the APA references and annotations for your sources in the Completing the Annotated Bibliography template. When writing your APA references for your sources, you can refer to the Ashford Writing Center’s Common APA Reference and Citation Models for guidance.

Copy and paste the references and annotations for your two scholarly journal articles from week three and your two websites from week four into your paper. Check your instructor’s feedback on previous assignments to see if there any corrections that you need to make. If you are not sure how to see your instructor’s feedback, this HelpNow! video will show you. Be sure to make any changes or corrections that your instructor has indicated.

Now, you are ready to convert your research question into a thesis statement. Watch the Ashford Writing Center’s Thesis Statement Tutorial. Then, use the “Turning Your Research Question into a Thesis Statement” worksheet to help you create your thesis statement. Copy and paste your thesis statement into the Completing the Annotated Bibliography template, Week Five template. You can also look at the sample annotated bibliography for guidance.

As you build your annotated bibliography in weeks three, four, and five, you are encouraged to submit your work to the Ashford Writing Center for feedback. The Writing Center staff can help you identify formatting, grammar, and other common writing issues in your work and give your ideas for ways to fix them. The Writing Center staff is available by email or by chat.

Congratulations on completing your annotated bibliography! You have chosen a topic, developed a research question, identified keywords, located three different types of sources related to your topic, created APA references, written annotations, built an annotated bibliography and converted your research question into a thesis statement! All in the space of Five short weeks! What an accomplishment!

Monsters in America chapter 7, English homework help Humanities Assignment Help

Monsters in America

As W. Scott Poole’s text will serve as the conceptual framework for the course, this assignment seeks to promote regular critical engagement with the text.

Part 1: Chapter by Chapter Engagement. For each chapter of the text, students will maintain comprehensive, written dossiers separated into three components as follows.

Component 1: Annotated Reflections. (1.5-2 pages) Students will compose written reflections on the material covered, using annotation as a strategy to highlight their perspective and response to the readings. Keeping the principles outlined in Adler’s “How to Mark a Book” in mind while reading, students should seek to identify moments/passages in the text that were illuminating, confusing, instructive, dubious, biased, fascinating, problematic, and so forth.

The written reflection itself should be both specific and representative of the whole range of the required reading, and not simply be from the first few pages of the reading. This piece is a reflection of how the reader interacts with the text; there is no right or wrong, only different levels of academic curiosity and critical thought.

The reflection should include a series of insightful, well-developed entries of select annotations the student has made. Each entry should begin by citing the first few words of the relevant phrase or passage, followed by the page number. The remainder of the entry should examine the significance of the passage. Entries can clarify a reference and explain its significance, explore something that is unclear, or explain why something resonates with the reader, etc. (There is a reason that you made the annotation, and each individual will annotate something different.)

Reflections will be submitted according to the due dates outlined in the weekly schedule. Those students scheduled to present for a given chapter are not required to submit a reflection (seeMonsters in America Presentations assignment). An individual grade is not assigned to each reflection; however, reflections will be graded collectively upon the completion of the project. Failure to submit a reflection will result in a 10 point reduction from the overall project grade.

Component 2: Summary. (1 page) Students will compose a summary of the chapter, highlighting the key elements of Poole’s text. These summaries should not exceed one page in length.

Component 3: Vocabulary. Students will maintain a list of unfamiliar words they come across in the chapter. The list should also include the page on which the word was found. Once completing the chapter, students will define these words using a college dictionary and observing the definition appropriate for the word’s usage in context.

Part 2: Comprehensive Reflection. The comprehensive reflection will be a culminating work composed at the end of the semester. Prior to the class, students will have their chapter reflections returned to them for review. The comprehensive reflection will call upon students, using their chapter reflections as their only reference, to treat Monsters in America in its entirety, focusing on their overall impressions of the work as well as anything learned from the text with long ranging applicability beyond the context of the course.

Twelve Month Pro Forma Budgeted Income Statement, assignment help Computer Science Assignment Help

Twelve Month Pro Forma Budgeted Income Statement

Kristin Raina Interior Designs has decided to request a bank loan to expand her business and the lender has asked for a one-year projection of revenue and expenses. In order to request the loan, you will need to create a Pro Forma one year budgeted income statement broken down over 12 months. You will need to take a look at the actual ending financial statements for February, March and April and use this data to help create the forecast for the next fiscal year of business.

For this project, you can assume that the company is expanding the business for any reason, however below are some possible options for seeking out a loan. You can use one of these options or create a unique creative alternative for expansion in building the one-year pro forma budgeted income statement:

  • Option 1: Kristin has decided to do a build out of a leased location.
  • Option 2: Kristin has decided to purchase a physical location for her business.
  • Option 3: A combination of the above or any other creatively unique expansion/company growth idea (consider a new product or new product line for example).

Keep in mind the request should be financially manageable and make sure to look ahead to next week’s module where this budget will be the foundation for a presentation that uses financial ratios to demonstrate why the amount of the loan is manageable and why it is a good investment in light of the strengths and weakness of the company. Using financial ratios will be critical in supporting your argument and be aware that most bankers or lenders will not even consider a loan prospect without addressing, for example, the impact of additional debt on your debt to equity ratio.

Note: Excel must be used for creating the budget and the spreadsheet must include formulas for all mathematical calculations including adding, subtracting and sums of columns or groups of cells.

1, use this question below to answer the ” The Lottery and Two kinds” approximately 8-12 sentences.

What happens in the story? For yourself, summarize the plot (the gist of the

Instructions 3

3.This is the instruction for Brent Staples ” just walk on by a black man” and Nora Ephron “The Boston Paragraph” After
you have read the assigned readings, Brent Staples’s “Just Walk on By: A
Black Man Ponders His Ability to Alter Public Space” and Nora Ephron’s
“The Boston Photographs,” you have read the Writing to Argue Background
reading at mywritinglab, and reviewed the background argumentative
information at the web link “logos, ethos, pathos,” you need to respond
on the discussion board to these argumentative works. The link is posted
on the Canvas homepage. These readings are “argumentative” examples, so
the discussion will revolve around each author’s use of argumentative

All students should consider the author’s use of logos, ethos, and pathos .
In other words, students need to post good examples of one or more of
these argumentative appeals. Please click on the Logos, Ethos, and
Pathos web link to read the necessary background related to
argumentative strategies. [I have posted this link on the Canvas
homepage.] Then use this information to post examples of these
argumentative appeals on this discussion board.

Identify the argumentative
appeal and use a direct quote from the story to support your analysis in
a short paragraph (approx. 8-12 sentences). Type the argumentative
appeal (logos, ethos, or pathos) you have chosen in the ‘subject’ line
and then type out the paragraph with the direct quote in the large box
on the screen. You will be required to post a body paragraph for EACH
of the argumentative stories (one full body paragraph based on the
Staples reading and one full body paragraph on the Ephron reading).

Please post one response to
EACH story in paragraph format, and then respond to two other student
postings by midnight on Monday, 11/14/16. Student ‘responses’ need to be
2-3 sentences each and should further the discussion. Do not write
responses such as ‘Good job’ or ‘I liked your posting’. Remember that
this is discussion of the story and should reflect careful thought about
both the readings and the posted ‘argumentative analysis’ paragraphs.

Please remember that you are
only allowed to use your own original ideas – do not refer to or post
ANY “outside” information you have read on the Internet or elsewhere, or
you will receive an automatic ‘F’ for plagiarism. You are only allowed
to use your own original ideas to analyze the works and direct quotes
from the works (i.e. any material you borrow from the work needs to be
in quotation marks and include a page number reference–use the pdf
files for page number references–the pdf file of the Ephron work and a
link to the Staples reading appear in Canvas). You also need to use the
author’s last name in either the signal phrase before the quote or in
the parenthetical reference after the quote. Refer to the Quotes and
Signal Phrases handout for rules/samples on how to properly document
quotes using mla style.… here is the link

Thesis statement for research paper, homework help Humanities Assignment Help

I need a research paper that has 4 steps in it. 1st step I need to submit Thesis Statement , 2nd step Outline, 3rd rough draft and 4th complete paper. Everything needs to be done in Chicago style. I am attaching all the directions of assignment. When you go through the directions there is a list of museums , choose NORTON SIMON museum , in their site go to collections and choose which one your are going to write about. Please make sure that you choose a theme that can develop a very good research paper. when you choose the art work you need to let me know right away so I can find out its location in museum.

So right now you will work on Thesis Statement, I will post 2nd step when I get approval from professor to continue to Outline. And so on. It means you have to save the work and continuance working on it during a month or so. So I will raise the price for each assignment. As of right now I need you to read all the instructions thoroughly and visit the museum site and choose a art work that you feel you can write the best paper on . Let me know what did you choose and continue on thesis statement . Oh and please pay attention that professor asks to choose art work that should be included in our textbook.
