In today’s world of healthcare, capital expenses are a common element to the financial management process. In fact, all healthcare organizations, at some point, must convert to an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to be compatible with the rest of the world. However, this is a major capital expense that will cost many healthcare organizations millions of dollars. Purchasing an EHR system will undoubtedly require the acquisition and use of long-term assets under a capital budget.

The final assignment of your project will require you to make a recommendation to finance an EHR system, based on information from previous assignments. You will compile all the information in a proposal format, which will be addressed to the organization’s executive managers. You will create a separate presentation as an overview of your proposal.

Your organization is considering financing a 1.5 million dollar EHR system (if an EHR system not a good fit for your case, you can choose any major health information system/technology but the 1.5 million dollar reference should remain the same). Based on the financial outlook of your case/organization, make a recommendation to purchase or not purchase the system. You will need to draw on the material you have learned in throughout the class and assignments; as well as background information from your case description. Collectively, that information will serve as the foundation to support your recommendation.

Your final Financial Analysis report should be a minimum of eight (8) pages in length, excluding title and reference pages.

  • Introduction of case and financial challenges and issues; perspective of financial challenge (Introduction)
  • Report on assets and liabilities, cash flows and financial position, etc (Financial Statements).
  • Examination of financial analysis methods (Financial Analysis Methods).
  • Interpretation of financial management and capital management; influences for capital investments and decision-making (Capital Management).
  • Assessment of EHR implementation (or relevant information system) and recommendation; using supportive information from financial management assignments (Proposal)
    • Summarizes and presents a collection of financial management concepts, strategies and methods; applicable to case financial position, needs and challenges.
  • Make sure to use block letter formatting and proposal formatting guidelines. You will need to include a title page. Remember, your audience is the organization’s executive managers. Make sure to use proper audience tone.
  • Include an APA formatted reference page to include at least five (5) academic sources, such as a book or an academic scholarly journal, to support your topic. You should reference your academic sources by including at least five (5) in-text citations. Academic scholarly journals can be access through the Rasmussen Online Library.

Your Presentation should be created in MS PowerPoint to include a minimum of seven (7) slides. You will also add a narration to your presentation that should be 15-20 minutes in length. Be sure to discuss your project components in a concise, yet effective manner. You should highlight key points of each component of the Financial Analysis Report, leading up to your EHR recommendation outcome. Include graphical displays (such as graphs or other pictorials) to add visual interest and support of your information. Use a professional tone and keep in mind that you are presenting to the executive management team; consider their interests as stakeholders.

Presentation Outline

  • Introduction
  • Summary of financial statements
  • Summary of financial analysis methods
  • Findings of capital management influences
  • EHR recommendation outcome
  • Summary/Conclusion
  • APA formatted reference slide

University of Massachusetts Boston Social Pressures in the Story Discussion Writing Assignment Help

Length: At least 2.5 pages

Grading: This paper is worth 15% of your final grade for this course.

Format: *Double-spaced, 1-inch margins, 12-point (Times New Roman) font in MLA

format.

*Title centered over text

*Works Cited page (does not count towards paper page count)

Skills: Analyzing fictional writing.

Developing an argument and using other authors to support your argument.

Analyzing a specific social issue (or social issues) and their relationship to individuals’ sense of identity.

Organizing a short essay.

Over the past few weeks we have been discussing issues of identity in American life. Specifically, we have been analyzing how social problems revolving around race and class (racial and economic inequality) impact an individual’s sense of identity. How we think about ourselves, how we construct our identities, etc. are all, in many cases, heavily influenced by our surrounding environment. The people we interact with, the problems we face, how others treat us, etc. all influence who we become as individuals. We are essentially discussing here two related spheres of human life: our private lives (the individual sphere) and society (the social sphere). Your task is to analyze the relation between these two spheres.

For this paper, you will:

  1. Choose one short story from below. Analyze one moment in the story where there are social pressures influencing a character’s (or characters’) sense of identity. In your analysis, explore the nature of how these outside forces are impacting how a character sees him or herself. Are there any race and class issues that are helping shape who this character is as an individual? How does the character respond to these issues? Are there inner conflicts in this character? Why do you think that is?
  2. Choose a different short story and analyze one moment in this story as you did above. Then place this story in conversation with the one above by comparing and contrasting both moments. How are both moments similar? How are they different? What do these moments reveal to us about how individuals are influenced by larger social factors that are mostly outside of their control?
  3. Lastly, explore your own beliefs on how individual identities are constructed. Do you feel that a person’s race and social class influence who they become as individuals? Why or why not? What about family? How does a person’s family

Forum Post 1:

Good Evening,

I’ve always thought it’s important to have several contingency strategies because life can go in many directions. I’ve always been a planner and when it comes to my life as an individual I always enjoy long-range planning and looking ahead.Sometimes this prevents me from living in the moment which I’ve been trying to improve upon.I joined the military the month after I graduated high school because I was interested in the educational benefits. I don’t think any of the women in my family had been in the military prior to my joining and my parents never finished college. My older brother enlisted into the Air Force three years before I did and I saw the success and stability he was able to achieve. Following the recession of 2008, I knew that funds were not available for me to attend college and I didn’t want to take out student loans. My intended strategy was to enlist for educational benefits but then I ended up enjoying what I do as an Aviation Resource Manager. I was at my first duty station for almost six years and submitted a request to move, but I had to reenlist to accept my preferred assignment. When it was time to reenlist, I still hadn’t finished my degree but enjoyed what I was doing. It occurred to me that I hadn’t considered how long I would stay in the military when I initially joined. My realized strategy would be that plans always require tailoring and certain events happen in life that cause one to reevaluate their goals. I changed my major to align with one that suited my personality and interests better as part of my emergent strategy. I still want to finish my degree but enjoy the stability my job provides for myself and my family and it makes me happy helping others succeed in their respective careers.

Forum Post 2:

Good evening Class,

For this week’s forum, we are required to discuss about intended strategy and realized strategy as it relates to our life or organization. In relation to my life, it has been my goal to make it big in life and help my family so I immigrated from my comfort zone, the country where I was born and grew up to the United States of America to seek for greener pastures so that I can help my family. So why I moved from my homeland is to seek for better opportunities. Now after I got to the United States my intended strategy was to work two jobs to earn enough so that I can return to my country and set up a business for myself so I started working multiple jobs which I realized was too stressful and detrimental to my life so I had to employ an emergent strategy. Joining the Army was an emergent strategy when my intended strategy was not helping. I joined the army to be able to have one job that can support my family but initially I never thought of joining the Army. After my first contract was over in the Army, I realized that I could get to my vision by staying longer in the Army because so far as I meet the standard, I don’t have to worry about anything else so staying longer in the Army became my realized strategy because I don’t have to work two jobs anymore and I have tuition assistance to my advantage to finish my degrees. Most importantly, I earn quite enough to support my family and save for the future as well so I think the realized strategy is gradually driving me to my dream.

Prompt W2: Strategy

Just as organizations develop strategy, individuals do too. When considering strategy and creating intended strategy, think about why you are doing what you do. The YouTube video (https://youtu.be/qp0HIF3SfI4) (How great leaders inspire action | Simon Sinek) is interesting in understanding how to answer the question of “why?”

Discuss Intended Strategy and Realized Strategy as it relates to your life or your career. My Career is military (USMC).

I have attached the textbook for this course for this weeks lesson it goes over Chapters 4 and 5.

Assignment Details

You have just attended a manager’s meeting about establishing self-directed, high-performing teams. The company is concerned because some of the managers are having success building self-directed, high-performing teams while others are not. A discussion occurred that identified the characteristics of the successful team-building elements and compared them to those of the managers who have not been successful. This is a situation where those who are struggling need to learn from those who are doing well. The discussions included identifying what could be going wrong and what steps might be taken for success.

You have been asked to write a research report that summarizes the meeting and offers some recommendations that might be helpful to those managers who are struggling. Specifically, your report must include the following:

  • Identification of the difficulties the managers may be having in establishing self-directed, high-performing teams
  • Identification of the successful characteristic of establishing self-directed, high-performing teams
  • Recommendations for success
  • A designed plan that might help guide the struggling managers and improve negotiation and conflict resolution skills

Use the Library and Internet to research this topic.

Present your findings as a 5–7-page (body of paper) paper formatted in APA style.

Submitting your assignment in APA format means, at a minimum, you will need the following:

  • Title page: Remember the running head and title in all capital letters.
  • Abstract: This is a summary of your paper, not an introduction. Begin writing in third-person voice.
  • Body: The body of your paper begins on the page following the title page and abstract page, and it must be double-spaced between paragraphs. The typeface should be 12-pt. Times Roman or 12-pt. Courier in regular black type. Do not use color, bold type, or italics except as required for APA level headings and references. The deliverable length of the body of your paper for this assignment is 5-7 pages. In-text academic citations to support your decisions and analysis are required. A variety of academic sources is encouraged.
  • Reference page: References that align with your in-text academic sources are listed on the final page of your paper. The references must be in APA format using appropriate spacing, hang indention, italics, and upper- and lower-case usage as appropriate for the type of resource used. Remember, the reference page is not a bibliography, but it is a further listing of the abbreviated in-text citations used in the paper. Every referenced item must have a corresponding in-text citation.

ETHC 445 Essex County College Wk 8 My Personal Moral Theory Essay Writing Assignment Help

I’m working on a nursing question and need support to help me learn.

Week 8 Assignment: Your Personal Moral Theory

Required Resources
Read/review the following resources for this activity:

  • Textbook: Chapter 13
  • Lesson

Introduction
In this session, you have been considering moral-ethical dilemmas you yourself faced or that you know of that you either resolved or failed to resolve, but hopefully learned from. You may never have given much thought to ethical theory nor what ethical premises/paradigms you have unconsciously held.

You will be focusing on this case for this assignment:

Jane Doe is a nursing student at University X. Jane is in week eight of a course entitled: “Introduction to Ethics”.

For the week one discussion, Jane copied work done by her friend John Doe in the same class two months ago (with a different professor). John told Jane it was okay to use his work as John’s professor never checked any work in the class using Turnitin.com. John claimed to have earned an A on the work also.

In week two, Jane went to StudentPapering.com and paid ten dollars for a week two essay done by a student (not John Doe) who took the same course four months ago. StudentPapering promises that all its archived work is of excellent quality and cannot be detected as copied. Jane then uploaded an exact copy of the work for the week two assignment.

In week three, Jane paid a worker at PaperingStudent.com ten dollars to write for Jane a brand new essay after Jane shared with the worker the essay assignment instructions.

In week four, Jane relied on her knowledge of Esperanto. She felt pressed for time and found an article by a professor from Esperanto on the week four topic. She translated Esperanto into English using Moogle Translate, and the translated text served as her week four paper.

In week five, Jane was running late again. Jane purposely uploaded a blank paper hoping that she would later claim it was an innocent mistake and not be assessed a late penalty. In a previous course on History, she had done the same (with an earlier paper from the History class rather than simply a blank) and had not seen any late penalty assessed.

In week six, Jane took work she did in a nursing course from a year ago and submitted that for her discussion posting in her current class. She simply copied and pasted the work she had labored intensively on a year ago (even though University X forbids this practice as ‘self-plagiarism’). Jane was confident her Nursing instructor never checked that work using Turnitin.com or another method.

In week seven, Jane copied and pasted work found on website.com for the paper. Jane did not use any quotation marks or other documentation to show the text was not by Jane.

Since Jane’s Ethics professor did not check papers and posting for any issues by using Turnitin.com or another method, the professor graded all of Jane’s work unaware of Jane’s actions throughout the weeks of the class. Jane feels her actions are morally justified both because her economic situation requires her to work too much to devote time to school (although other students are well-off enough to have such time) and her religion forbids cheating, but Jane ignores her religion’s teachings.

Instructions
Now that you have had an opportunity to explore ethics formally, create a reflective assessment of your learning experience and the collaborations you engaged in throughout this session. You will submit both of the following:

  • A written reflection
  • An oral presentation using a PowerPoint narrated slide show.

For the written reflection, address Jane Doe’s and respond to the following:

  • Articulate again your moral theory from week eight discussion (You can revise it if you wish). What two ethical theories best apply to it? Why those two?
  • Apply to Jane Doe’s case your personal moral philosophy as developed in week eight discussion and now. Use it to determine if what Jane Doe did was ethical or unethical per your own moral philosophy.
  • Consider if some of these examples are more grave instances of ethical transgressions than others. Explain.
  • Propose a course of social action and a solution by using the ethics of egoism, utilitarianism, the “veil of ignorance” method, deontological principles, and/or a theory of justice to deal with students like Jane. Consider social values such as those concerning ways of life while appraising the interests of diverse populations (for instance, those of differing religions and economic status).

For the oral presentation, briefly summarize your feelings about taking a course in Ethics and explore your process of transformation in this course.

  • Discuss your experiences of the course, your beginnings, and where you are now. Consider your interaction in discussions.
  • Should health care workers be required to take a course in Ethics? Why or why not

  • 1-inch margins
  • Double spaced
  • 12-point Times New Roman font
