The research proposal assignment is designed to allow you to demonstrate your knowledge of social psychological theory and research. You will choose a social issue or concept of interest to you and review the relevant social psychological theories. You will identify a research question based on a gap in the literature, and propose two different studies to answer your research question, comparing and contrasting two different methodologies. While there is no length requirement, as the length should be determined by the amount of space needed to explain your ideas, successful assignments will likely be between 4 and 5 pages in length

The hardest part of this assignment is identifying a gap in the literature and a research question. To get you started on identifying sources and a research question, I recommend starting with a review article. These articles cover review the work being done on a particular topic or subfield and will help you identify a gap in the literature. The Annual Review of Sociology is a good source.

Hotel Creation Project

Assignment Instructions:

Create a Hotel– You will work in groups to create a new hotel property. This hotel is not to be a chain property (e.g. Hampton Inn, Embassy Suites, etc.) and can be located anywhere in the world. Each group is responsible for deciding the: theme/concept, design, sales & marketing, pricing strategy, service style, costs, estimated revenue, target market, safety policies, attendance policies, room types, and F&B to be offered. This is a group project, so you just need to write theme & concept .We chose the theme “Resort in Nature”. The main idea is eco-tourism. The name of the hotel is ” The Enchanted Garden” . You can use Mashpi Lodeg as an example. The location you can choose by youself.

Adhere to the standards of style for professional writing (tone, language, mechanics, etc.), and make this post persuasive. Convince your readers that you truly have identified a legitimate problem or opportunity, one that bears investigation.

When you post your problem statement to this discussion board, clearly indicate (parenthetically) each of the three appeals you used: ethos (a reliance on credibility), logos (logic—data and facts), and pathos (emotional approach).

Strive to motivate your audience by integrating your appeals organically and strategically into the narrative that describes your problem. Your post must reach a minimum of 250 words to receive full credit.

Think about the progression of documents this way…
First: You identified a problem that needs addressing or an opportunity to improve a process or service. You have sought approval and feedback from your instructor and have made any necessary adjustments.
Second: You’re now writing a problem statement about that issue, using the three appeals (ethos, logos, and pathos) to move your audience.
Third: Then, you will write a proposal memo. In your memo, you outline your steps for conducting the research so that you can arrive at a recommendation. In fact, you will use your problem statement as the first topic heading within your proposal memo.
Fourth (and subsequent steps): Take that proposal, conduct the research, assess success markers, identify plans, gather up data, visuals, etc. and turn all of that material—along with your discussion, conclusion, and recommendations—into your final report.
