In
this assignment you will observe, document, and evaluate two (2)
instructional sessions associated with adult learners. Using the Teaching Observation Form, located here,
you will rate each instructor’s performance from one (1) to five (5) on
each of the evaluative criterion on the form, with one (1) being the
lowest and five (5) being the highest. You will also include a rationale
or comment for each rating. Note: If you do not observe an evaluative criterion, do not rate the criterion and mark an N/A in the rationale / comment block.

Write a five to seven (5-7) page paper in which you address the following items for each observation separately.

1. Provide the title of each instructional session, and summarize the content of each of the instructional sessions.
2. Critique
   the overall effectiveness of each instructional session. Use your
   observation and evaluation notes from the “Teaching Observation Form” to
   provide a rationale for your critique.
3. Assess the instructional
   strengths of each session. Provide a rationale for your assessment
   using examples from your observation.
4. Assess the areas for improvement of each session. Provide a rationale for your assessment using examples from your observation.
5. Compare and contrast the strengths and areas for improvement for the two (2) sessions observed.
6. Based on your current or preferred career, specify two (2) concepts you can apply from this assignment.
7. Assess your lessons learned from using the “Teaching Observation Form”. Suggest at least one (1) improvement in the form.
8. Include the completed “Teaching Observation Forms” as an Appendix to your paper.

In this assignment, you will learn about Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) and their impact on adults and education.

To learn more about MOOCs, read the article titled “7 Things You Should Know About MOOCs”. Next, use the Internet or Strayer Library to locate two (2) additional articles on your own.

Write a five to seven (5-7) page paper responding to the items below:

Note: Make each numbered item below a heading in your paper.

1. Analyze three (3) advantages and three (3) disadvantages of MOOCs. Provide support for your analysis.
2. Compare
   and contrast MOOCs to a traditional online course. Propose one (1) use
   case in which a MOOC could be more beneficial to an adult learner than
   taking a traditional online course.
3. Discuss the main reasons
   why, as an adult learner, you may choose to take a MOOC. Explain the
   type of MOOC you would take, and specify why you would select this type
   of MOOC.
4. Suggest at least two (2) ways that MOOCs are or are not relevant to your current career. Justify your response.
5. Explore both the future of MOOCs and their potential impact on adult education, lifelong learning, and training.
6. Provide a reference page including the three (3) articles used in this paper.

Many
members of the news media say that they are just a “mirror” of society
and that they simply reflect what happens in society. They would argue
that their influence is relatively small. Using the Anti-Bullying Policy
as an example, take a position on whether you agree or disagree with
this position.

Part 8

Choosing any policy issue that you
are particularly interested in, then identify those (official actor’s,
unofficial actors, and an interest group) that has had the most
influence on your policy.Discuss how much power each has had in setting
the agenda.

Write a four to five (4-5) page paper in which you:

1.Write
a one-page summary of the policy, including the purpose, the context of
the problem, and any recommendations or suggestions from the policy to
address the problem. (Use your summary skills to keep this to one page.)

2.Explain who all the players are – official and unofficial, and interest groups – involved with your policy.

3.Describe the role and function of each of the players you identified.

4.Of
the list of players you identified, pick two (2) and describe the
political influence of each player, explaining motives, conflicts,
interrelationships, and impacts on the policy.

1. Include at least four (4) peer-reviewed references (no more than five [5] years old) from material outside the textbook. Note:
   Appropriate peer-reviewed references include scholarly articles and
   governmental Websites. Wikipedia, other wikis, and any other Websites

This
is a continuation of the first and second assignments and uses your
accumulated research. Imagine you are two different lobbyists,
supporting two different sides of the policy issue you wrote about in
Assignment 2.

Submit your Assignment 1 and 2 revisions based on
your professor’s feedback. You will be graded on your revisions. Then,
write a 4-5 page paper in which you:

1. Write a one-page position in favor of the policy.
2. Write a one-page position against the policy.
3. Write a one-page response to the argument in favor of the policy.
4. Write a one-page response to the argument against the policy.
5. Use
   at least two (2) of the following arguments from Chapter 10 in your
   paper: normative, positive, anecdote, and evidence arguments. Clearly
   label these to receive credit.
6. Include at least four (4) peer-reviewed references (no more than five [5] years old) from material outside the textbook. Note:
   Appropriate peer-reviewed references include scholarly articles and
   governmental Websites. Wikipedia, other wikis, and any other Websites
   ending in anything other than “.gov” do not qualify as peer-reviewed.

For this week’s discussion, suppose you are a manager who needs to communicate several messages to employees of the company.

Messages

1. The CEO abruptly resigns after the news media reported, the CEO embezzles millions of dollars 2. A plan to relocate the company 3. The death of an employee 4. The reassignment of one division to a new location

• For each of the messages above:
  • List the medium (telephone, email, text, face-to-face meeting, etc.) you would use to communicate the message.
  • Explain why you choose that medium over the other possible mediums.
• Then, look at the messages from a general sense and explain how your choices affect trust and credibility among the employees.

is the ability to influence others to achieve organizational goals.
Organizations spend billions of dollars each year to improve the
leadership skills of its employees. Leadership skills are needed within
organizations to execute the vision, mission and strategic goals of the
organization.
