Directions:

1. View the video, Ancient Egypt and take notes on it.
2. Write a short summary of the film, (around 5-10 sentences) indicating the major parts of the video. I do not require specific details here.
3. Write a critique of the video (approximately 300 words/one page) analyzing what the film did well, what it could have done better, and what more you think it should have covered.
4. Please use correct grammar and spelling.
5. Please use MLA correctly. To Cite the film the body of the essay, use the following: (Ancient Egypt). I don’t need to know the minute at which the scene occurred.

For this assignment, look at the company (Apple) you began analyzing in Week 1 from the perspective of the manufacturing it does or service it provides.

First, discuss the following for your company:

• Summarize the company’s product or service that you are analyzing, including a mention of whether or not the company deals only in products, only in services, or if they offer both.
• Summarize the process by which these products are made or by which these services are provided (in other words, what is the process that is being used?). Be sure to mention whether or not changes to this process are needed when new products or services are introduced by the company.
• Assess why the company does or does not outsource the manufacturing of its products or the provision of its services.

Then, complete the following tasks as part of your analysis:

• Diagram the process that is currently in use by developing a process map for how the company manufactures the product or provides the service.
• Justify areas of process improvement for the company based upon the process map.
• Evaluate whether the company is a make-to-order, make-to-stock, assemble-to-order, or engineer-to-order company, explaining what it is about the company that makes them the type of company that you are describing them to be.

1. Read the following case study.
   You are a staff nurse working in an intensive care unit and assigned to care for a 75-year-old man who had coronary artery bypass graft surgery four days ago. The patient has a history of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease exacerbated by heavy smoking. His postoperative course has been difficult, and he has suffered a number of setbacks. Staff members, despite their diligent efforts, have not been able to wean him off the ventilator since the surgery. He has required frequent suctioning throughout the shift, and he is being evaluated for the development of ventilator-associated pneumonia.
   Today, when returning from lunch, you observed that an experienced nurse was suctioning your patient. His secretions were thick, and you observed that the nurse was instilling saline into the patient’s endotracheal tube as she was suctioning him. The patient turned red and began coughing, and it was obvious he was in distress.You asked the nurse why she was instilling saline into his endotracheal tube. She replied that this was being done to loosen the secretions. You told her this was no longer an acceptable practice. She stated that she many years of critical care experience and she didn’t care what anyone said, that the only way you could loosen the patient’s secretions would be to instill saline. She also said that would be the last time she would do something for one of your patients while you were at lunch.
   
   
2. Determine a plan of care for the patient using the nursing process. Use at least two nursing diagnoses and include their associated goals, interventions, and outcomes that you expect to see for each diagnosis.
   
   
3. Define each step of the nursing process and align each step to critical thinking and clinical decision-making processes. This can be accomplished by using bubbl.us and developing multi-directional links in your concept map to demonstrate the interrelationships that exist among the various concepts.

   Please note that in order to demonstrate critical thinking and clinical decision making, your links need to demonstrate all the multiple interrelationships of the concepts. You are basically demonstrating how every part of the care plan that you develop is correlated and connected. If your links are only going in one direction (unidirectional), then you may not be demonstrating the numerous interrelationships that exist among the concepts.

4. I am asking that you use bubbl.us as the option since this will allow you to develop a concept map type of presentation that you can then insert/copy and paste into a MS word document. When you develop the concept map within the bubbl.us website, save it to your computer as an ‘image’ (.jpeg) file. Once you save the image of the concept map on your computer, find it and paste your image of the completed concept map into the Microsoft Word document, include a title and reference page, grading rubric
   
5. Format your alignment of the nursing process with the critical thinking process and clinical decision-making process in a document, table, or other visual representation approved by your instructor. This can all be done within your bubbl.us concept map. Your concept map image should be copied and pasted into a Microsoft Word document with a title page, concept map image, reference page. • The moment: What event, observation, feeling, memory, experience or occasion is being recounted or described in this poem?
• The feeling: Who is the speaker and how do they feel about the subject they are exploring in this poem? What words or phrases are used to clearly portray the speaker’s feeling?
• The punch: What is the purpose of this poem? What expression or statement is being made? What dynamic elements are used to make the purpose clear? Where is the poem most powerful?

Write in clear and complete sentences, proofread carefully, and be sure to include the name of the poem and poet. Don’t attach a document, but type (or paste) text into the text box for the journal entry. There are no formatting requirements. You are encouraged to use quotations from the poem to support or illustrate your points, but otherwise, don’t consult any outside sources or website. Rely on your reading of the poem and the information from our lesson.
