The Goal of the paper is to insure you have an Integrated Understanding of the Leadership Principles as reviewed and discussed that are in the Textbook: Student Leadership Challenge (James Kousek, Barry Posner). In addition you may also reference the Disney Leadership Principles (How’s the Culture in Your Kingdom?, Dan Cockerel) that we will be focusing on in the second half of the semester. All other class information such as Ethics and the two other books are options to include. (Building Block Essentials, 4th Ed. and Four Pillars of Employable Talent, 4th Ed by Dr. David Miles)

In addition, you may go outside our textbooks and utilize other references which are strongly recommended.

I am looking for:

1) APA format

2) clear message of your focus for this paper

3) utilizing references to support your leadership story, – critical thinking

4) Your integrated summary of leadership issues as focusing on your papers learning objectives -your clear voice.

You will be scored on ALL four areas. You decide the focus and approach you are taking and fully explain that in the front of the paper. Tell the reader where and why you are going in the direction you are. The rest of how you proceed is up to your objective and focus.

Options:

1-Do a comparison of the Kouzes Leadership teachings against the Disney Branded Leadership teachings.

2- Do a comparison of the Kouzes Leadership teachings against other common various styles of Leadership (site additional Resources)

3- Do a comparison of a real-world Leadership event or issue that was significant and compare both positive and negatives against the key principles in both Kouzes and Disney materials.

Or

All 3 or 2 options can be together.

You will receive a grade for the midterm and receive comments in return. You are expected to enhance this first submission as it will be included with your final submission of a completed paper. Your final exam grade will reflect the combined paper.

FLN used Muslim women to carry bombs in to French cafes’ and targeted locations with large numbers of French youth; did you find the fact that women were used in terrorism attacks during this time period surprising?  Why or why not?
