that particular society was active in trade commerce, had hostile neighbors, and the size

of a particular civilization. Dendroclimatology and palynology were used mainly for the

Major Theses:

This assignment is not a book report! It requires you to read the book critically and be able to demonstrate you understand the book.

First you need to read the book. You should be looking for the main ideas as you do this and make a note of them as they will be the heart of the Problems, Sources, and Methods. The Problem, Sources, Methods part should be your own original words and your understanding of what the book is about and how the author approached writing it.

You will want to identify passages that might be Major Theses. Remember that you will need to explain these in your own words to show your understanding of them and why you chose them as Major Theses. They should be found throughout the book and not just in a small part of it.

The Major Theses themselves and the Scholarly Dialogue are not your own words. But which passages you select for inclusion in your paper will reflect your original thinking and analytical ability. How you relate the passages you selected to the Problems, Sources, and Methods in your own words will show your understanding of the book’s ideas.

You will want to find two or three good reviews of the book. At least one of these MUST come from a scholarly journal (such as The Journal of Modern History, The American Historical Review, The Journal of Roman Studies or any other similar refereed publication.) Distracted driving is at an all time high, according NHTSA distracted driving is dangerous, claiming 3,166 lives in 2017 alone. From what I’ve seen the law is cracking down on the laws (texting while driving). I will use myself for an example, I am known to use my phone while driving, especially if I am at a stop light, the things I do while driving includes: change a song on my phone, texting, on social media, reading emails. I have a car where I can use my phone through the radio but I still manage to pick up the phone.

I know it’s not right but for some reason, for society especially us millennials, we are so consumed with our phones that we just can’t put it down and that’s the sad part. You would think people who have experienced this first-hand they will stop, but that’s not always the case.

For myself I am trying to be better with this situation by just waiting until I arrive at my destination before I respond to emails, calls, and text messages.

According to our textbook consumer misbehavior are behaviors that are someway unethical and can potentially harm yourself or others. Product misuse is one reason why use of cellphones in cars contributes to consumer misbehavior. More and more adults and teens are texting, searching the internet, while driving and taken the focus of themselves and their surroundings. Also, I believe provocative situational facts affects the growing use of cell phones. Provocative situational factors include crowding, wait times, excessive heat and noise.

I live in Atlanta, GA and the traffic has become horrific. I probably fall into this category of wait times. A 45-minute commute is now a 1.5 to 2hr drive one way on my way home from work. In my opinion this causes a lot of people to become impatient and irritated. To deal with the drive and stay sane drivers tend to search the web, listen to Pandora and changing channels, talk on the phone, etc.… Anything to make the traffic seem like its moving and to prevent road rage. None of these reasons are good enough for consumer misbehavior to occur, but they are a few reasons why cellphone use in a car takes place.

1. Define functional, matrix, and projectized organizational structures, and list the strengths and weaknesses of each.
2. Determine which organizational structure was being used in the two projects discussed in the case study, and explain how you came to that conclusion using evidence from the case study.
3. Do you believe that the projects described in this case study could have been managed better using a different type of organizational structure? If so, which one do you think would have worked better, and why? If you believe that the organizational structure used was the correct one, explain why you think so.
4. Describe what is meant by the technical side of a project and the sociocultural side of a project. Do you think Sands and Crosby were masters of both sides of their projects? Why, or why not?
5. Do you believe that a better knowledge of the organization’s strategy would have improved the outcome of this case study? Why, or why not?
