Thus, ONLY access the videos via GauchoCast, NOT via YouTube, iTunes, UCTV or any other modality. If you watch the videos outside of GauchoCast, you are jeopardizing your ability to pass the class. Be sure you sign into GauchoSpace with your ID, so we can properly track your participation.
Watch each video, in its entirety, taking notes as you listen. Once you have watched all the videos, utilize your notes to write your paper. DO NOT attempt to write your paper by skipping around the videos and simply throwing together a paper comprised of sound bites. This sort of viewing behavior will result in a failing participation grade, which will preclude you from passing the class.
A passing paper requires you to integrate the thoughts of ALL the speakers into a holistic argument that addresses: “What I have learned that will help me in my first job after graduation and/or increase my leadership ability.” A passing paper will contrast points made by all speakers and point out where commonality and consistency exist between the speakers’ messages. A. Prepare Your Assignment in Advance
In order to write a high-quality paper, be sure to take the time to write:
- An outline of your major points that distills a logical flow of information.
- A rough draft of your paper that you can reread and have another person read for you. A second reader always helps, no matter what your level of writing expertise is.

In this Assignment, you will identify clinical areas of interest and inquiry and practice searching for research in support of maintaining or changing these practices. You will also analyze this research to compare research methodologies employed.
To Prepare:
- Review the Resources and identify a clinical issue of interest that can form the basis of a clinical inquiry. Keep in mind that the clinical issue you identify for your research will stay the same for the entire course.
