Blog Entries Discussion Writing Assignment Help

Blog/Journal Entries #3

This week you are required to submit 3 blog entries that are inspired by three of the topics/prompts provide below:

The Role of the Audience

Reporters must consider their audience when deciding what to cover, but who should determine what’s important? Should the audience dictate to you what they think is important, or would you or the editor know more about what is important to the audience? Explain your position.

Libel Laws & Journalism

It is difficult for those in the public spotlight to sue under current libel laws. In the 2016 presidential campaign, Donald Trump said he wanted to “open up” libel laws to make it easier to sue news outlets that wrote what he called “hit pieces.” What effect do you think opening libel laws would have on journalists?

What belongs in the News?

Hard news stories are often generated from events that take place. Feature stories often come from observation or other sources. How will you determine if it’s newsworthy?

Market Research and Strategy Consulting Paper Writing Assignment Help

This module is, in part, about how marketers determine what markets will support their product offerings. Planning is an important function in any organization.

Find one            Internet sourceFILLER TEXT  , and one scholarly articleFILLER TEXT  , about market research. The scholarly source will be an academic journal article such as you would find in the library databases. Compare and contrast these sources with the chapters in this module. Discuss the implications of market research and possible pitfalls that come from market research. An example of this is the conundrum between the need for organizations to provide needed goods and services contrasted with consumer information privacy.

A separate reference page (in            APA formatFILLER TEXT  ) should accompany the paper. This should also include the textbook. Be sure to cite references when used in the paper. I grade this part heavily so use the web to find a brief guide to using the APA style. There is no reason to lose valuable grading points on minor stuff like writing and style violations. Once source of APA is http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/560/01/.

Some elements I grade for:

  • Number and quality of linkages made between the article and the chapters (this is the most important!)
  • Title page is optional, but a name and title is mandatory
  • APA style for citations and references
  • Quality of article selected (blogs or superficial articles will receive little credit)
  • Introduction and conclusion
  • Appropriate use of headings
  • Single-spaced paper, double-space between paragraphs (double-check your paragraph settings)
  • One-to-two page paper (more, with quality, equals higher grade)
  • No first- (I, me, we) or second-person (you, your) perspectives
  • I can only open Word-compatible files. Sending the wrong file in the first place will make your paper late if I have to request a compatible file later. Double check submissions to avoid penalties!

MGMT166 University of California San Diego Creating Shared Value Paper Business Finance Assignment Help

THE SCENARIO

You graduated from UCSD (congratulations!) and have been in your job for six months. This is your first professional position since graduation. You see your manager frequently since you work in the same office and attend meetings together, however until now, your written communication with your manager and others at the company has been through email. You created a few of the Powerpoint slides in a presentation your manager delivered at a conference, but those contained only bullet points and one graphic.

THE ASSIGNMENT

Today, your manager told you she read “Creating Shared Value” recently in the Harvard Business Review. She asked that you read the article and give her your thoughts, in writing, on it and its relevance to your company.

This is the first written deliverable your manager has assigned to you. She is interested in your analysis and critical thinking skills as well as the quality of your writing. (She does not want you writing anything that will be visible to customers until she has had the opportunity to assess your skills in these areas.)

You are to choose an industry or company you are working in. Make it clear early in your paper what industry or company you have chosen. For example, you might say “Here in the fashion industry,…”, or “Since I started working here at Coca Cola, I have noticed…”, or “We and other dry cleaners…”

THE EMAIL MUST BE 400 TO 450 WORDS…. NOT LESS THAN OR MORE THAN THAT. I HAVE ATTACHED A FILE OF REQUIREMENT FOR THE PAPER. PLEASE READ THROUGH TO HAVE IDEAS.

I PREFER TO RECEIVE THE WORK EARLY TO AVOID TECHNICAL ISSUE OR TIME IN DIFFERENT REGIONS. THANK YOU!

Concordia University Portland How to Make Schools More Effective Today Writing Assignment Help

How to Make Schools More Effective Today

Due Saturday

In order to understand the present and predict the future, one must have an understanding of the past. In this week’s introduction, comments were made regarding the work of two well-known and somewhat controversial researchers, James Coleman and Ronald Edmonds. Coleman’s (1966) work focused on the premise that schools do not make a difference in student learning. Edmond’s (1982) work contradicted Coleman’s findings, stating that schools truly do make a difference, if specific qualities are present within the school’s structure. So, thanks to Edmonds, we now believe that, given a school system with certain characteristics, schools can, indeed make a difference! So, what do we do with this in order to make our schools more effective?

Go to the Effective Schools website (Lake Forest College, 1995), and explore it to learn more about Edmond’s work and the current work of the Effective Schools Project. Also, after reading the article, Effective Schools Checklist (Audain, 2007), find information in your reading assignments that will help you answer the following questions: What is the Effective Schools Movement? How did it start and what is its history?

After reading and viewing the history of the Effective Schools Movement, use the information to summarize the elements of the Effective Schools Movement that are present in your school (or if you are not teaching, think back to when you were a student). Note: feel free to use the checklist found in the second article listed above. Also address what you think you can do with this information to make your own classroom or local school more effective.

Post your three to four paragraph responses to the Assignment Dropbox.

Support your statements with evidence from the required studies and your research. Cite and reference your sources in APA style.Do not forget to include your references and citations.
