Your story review, should be a short paper of 3-5 pages, double-spaced, and font size 12. Start with a 1-paragraph to 1-page summary of the story. Then, go on to analyze the portrayal of the main character, and then specify why and how the story reflects the social-political condition of China in that era. A good example of this would be to cite a historical event or a cultural phenomenon you learned about in the reading and explain how it is referenced or demonstrated in the story. You also need to include the reason why you pick the story, which character has caught the most attention, will you recommend this story to others and why and etc.
In the review essay, you will have to include at least two citations from the stories of choice. Your choice of quotes from the story should associate with the theme of this course, “constructing the images of Modern China,” or the specified titles of your essay. You are encouraged to further establish your interpretation, criticism, and reflection on current events or life experience in comparison with the selected story. You are also encouraged to read and cite the sample book review posted in the relevant weekly section of our Blackboard course, or any other outside resources that are relevant to the story.

Creating an Argument: The Electoral College
This week we learned about the presidency, the powers of the presidency, and the unique way our president is elected via the Electoral College. In this assignment you will be guided in creating a complete argument regarding whether or not you think the Electoral College should be kept or eliminated.
This activity will be useful practice in how to create and present and thoughtful argument. The ability to create and communicate a thoughtful argument will help you out in future studies and in any career.
Your essay must be at least 500 words long.
Follow these steps to create an argument in the form of an essay:
Step 1: In one or two very clear sentences state whether or not you think the Electoral College should be kept or eliminated. This is called writing a thesis statement.
Step 2: In three paragraphs describing three (3) arguments that support your position regarding the Electoral College. Give each argument one paragraph. Do not just list three arguments in support of your position regarding the Electoral College. You must tell the reader why each of your three arguments supports your position on the Electoral College.
Step 3: In three paragraphs describe three (3) arguments that go against your position regarding the Electoral College. This is called addressing counterarguments. Give each counterargument one paragraph. Describe the counterargument and then tell the reader of your essay why that counterargument should be dismissed.
Step 4: Write one paragraph concluding your essay. Restate your initial position on the Electoral College. And review the one or two arguments that you found to be the most compelling in support of your position.
Step 5: Write a reference list. In any good argument you will present your ideas but then include evidence from credible external sources to support your ideas. Always include a reference list.
In outline form your paper should look like this.
Introduction: Thesis statement of your position regarding the Electoral College.
Three arguments supporting your position.
Describe argument 1 and why it supports your position.
Describe argument 2 and why it supports your position.
Describe argument 3 and why it supports your position.
Three counter arguments opposing your position.
Describe counter argument 1 and why it is not sufficient.
Describe counter argument 2 and why it is not sufficient.
Describe counter argument 3 and why it is not sufficient.
Conclusion paragraph.
Please note: APA formatting and citations rules apply to this and all essays in this course.
As with all weekly written assignments, submit your work as an attached file. Double-space your paper and use 12 point Times New Roman as your font.

Stock exchange research, business and finance assignment help Business Finance Assignment Help
The problem: You have just inherited $100,000 from your millionaire great-uncle. The stipulation is that you must invest it in the stock market until you turn twenty-one. First, you must familiarize yourself with the stock market and then decide what some good investments might be.
Your assignment: You will complete this project in four separate parts. Your findings for each part should include and address each of the proposed questions.
Part 1: Research: Learn the key terms and basic functionality of the stock market.
Research the stock market. What is a stock? What is a share? What is an exchange? Identify the various exchanges where stocks can be traded and discuss their similarities and differences (i.e. NYSE, NASDAQ). What types of companies are traded on each?
Research stock market performance indicators, such as the DOW Jones and S&P 500. What do the indicators measure? How do they help predict the performance of the market? What are their flaws?
Research the sectors of the market. Identify three companies in each sector.
Research companies in which you would invest. What characteristics do they have thatmake them good prospects? In other words, why might you choose to invest in each oneof them?
Compile the answers to these questions in a research report consisting of four to fivewell-developed paragraphs. This will be the first part of your Research Project.6. Make sure you give credit to the sources you use (MLA Citation Page)
Part 2: Invest: Choose 5–10 companies of your choice to invest your $100,000. Now apply what you have learned about the stock market to the Stock Market Game; complete a six-week stock market game simulation.
The following two websites (http://www.howthemarketworks.com and http://www.WallStreetSurvivor.com) have stock market simulation games and you will have the choice of which one you would like to use. You will have to sign up for a free account in order to start this project. Make sure you visit both sites and pick which one you would like to work with. When selecting your game, you will have the option to join a class or play individually. Select play individually.
Be sure to read the directions on how to play the game, and go to the help screen if you ever have questions. Be sure to contact your teacher if you have any problems with the website or the game.
While playing the game, be sure to stay active. You will want to check your stock’s progress DAILY and follow the news to get information on your company.
Give a weekly report for as long as you play the game for your companies. For at least four of your companies, write a weekly summary on the business, earnings statements, or any news having an impact on your company’s share prices. Create a table with a report summary for each company for each week during the six-week period.(do not actually take 6 weeks- it’s fake, so just pretend it was 6 weeks).
Include your reports and summaries in the second part of your Research Project.
Part 3: Draw Conclusions: After you complete the simulation, you will compile a report on your achievements of the game.
Did you have overall positive or negative earnings (list the total portfolio amount)?
What was your most profitable stock? If you did not have any that made you money, which company lost the least?
What company cost you the most money?
How many transactions did you make throughout the game, and what was the dollaramount that the transactions cost you?
Did the transactions have positive or negative externalities on the outcome of yourgame?
What was the economy’s overall performance during these weeks?
Write an overall analysis that discusses your stock investments as well as a general trendyou might have noticed in the stock market as a whole. Your analysis should be three tofour well-developed paragraphs. This will be the third part of your Research Project.
Make sure you give credit to the sources you use. (See information later in this sectionfor examples.)
THESE PARTS ARE COMBINED INTO ONE ASSIGNMENT
Part 4: Make Inferences: Discuss what you have learned from this activity.
Based on your findings, where do you think you might invest the money left to you byyour great-uncle?
Can you think of any other influences that might affect your decision on where to investyour money?
Identify the things you learned about the economy by participating in this simulation.
Did you like playing the game, and would you recommend it to others?
Respond to these questions in three to four well-developed paragraphs. This will be thefourth, and final part of your Research Project.
