Geography Question

Geography Question.

DIRECTIONS – Print-out this assignment, write your answers on it by hand, then scan it (or else photograph it with your SmartPhone). (OR: If you know how to seamlessly upload this into your own software and not do it by hand, then do that, OR: similarly upload it into your touch-screen tablet or iPad, or whatever…) But whatever way, make sure to write your name in your own hand, even if you have to do so clumsily with your cursor.
Then, submit directly into the CANVAS Assignment #4 “Discussion Page” by clicking the “reply” arrow…the Editor Box appears, and you can either cut-and-paste directly into it, or click the “paper clip” icon at the bottom-left to attach a file. After you post, you can view other student posts.
The questions deal with last week’s material on the distribution of Air Temperature, and with this week’s introduction go Air Pressure and Atmospheric Winds (focusing especially on “Weather (“Wx” or “Isobar”) Maps”).
(This assignment is meant to prepare you to answer the same types of questions on Exam #2; so don’t just do it to turn something in, do it as active preparation for the next exam!)
Remember, for the material on Isobar Maps and Winds, I’m going to post some “debriefing” Videos to directly help guide you through some of the questions associated with the Wx Maps on the last two pages. Oh boy, that’s sure swell to know!
HERE’S A DOWNLOADABLE COPY of the assignment (in either “docx” or “pdf” format):

Geography of difference

Geography Question Geography Assignment Help News of the George Floyd killing in Minnesota in May 2020 sent shock waves around the world and led to mass protests and demonstrations throughout the US and abroad. Browse through some national newspapers (New York Times, LA Times, Chicago Tribune etc.)–online is fine–and find a story in the last 5 years that focuses on issues of identity and difference in American or British society. Relating it to concepts discussed in class and in the readings (such as the process of ‘othering’; formation and maintenance of racial or ethnic neighborhoods; gendered or queer spaces; resistance and protest; bodily expressions of ethnic/gendered identity; home and workplace issues etc.), write a paper summarizing the news story and describe its underlying cultural geography (i.e. how the story relates to, for example, our understanding of neighborhoods, spatial experience, the importance of space or place in identity; spatial operations of power), though the latter may not be necessarily mentioned in the news story.
Note, this assignment is about applying everyday issues that occur locally and elsewhere in the ‘real world’, as represented in the news, to cultural geographical concepts and theories.
[General Guidelines for Papers: Papers should be at least 2-and-a-half pages in length (but absolutely no more than 6), excluding any illustrations (photos, maps, tables, graphs, etc.), which, by the way, should include numbered captions or labels. Use a double-spaced, 12-point type in a Times New Roman, Garamond, Book Antiqua, or Calibri font and reset the page to 1-inch margins, and 1 inch at the top and bottom. Papers should include your name, a title, in-text citations (Author Last Name, YEAR, p. #), and at the end a list of ‘References’ for materials used throughout the paper (General APA is preferred).

Avert is an HIV/AIDS

https://timeline.avert.org/?78/World-AIDS-Day
Avert is an HIV/AIDS charity organization based in England. They provide detailed information and education on the issue and they are a valuable resource to learn more about the history and current trends of HIV/AIDS.
Please click on the above title which will take you to a time line graph. The graph contains 29 information bits (circles with information). Click on each circle and more details will pop up. On the time line, the first circle is in 1959 and the last circle is in 2015. Your assignment is to type a 1 page (500 words minimum), single space summary of this timeline. Information from every single circle must be included in your writeup which means you will probably only include a brief point or two from each circle. Please don’t just copy and paste as that will be considered plagiarism and will result in a zero. Everything must be rewritten in your own words. Use multiple paragraphs so that it is easier for me read them. So, in other words, what you are doing is taking this timeline graph and putting it together like an article (one document) which will be easier to read. (20 points)
