Instructions:

In a 4-page essay support, Mattila’s claim that “Authenticity…is a funny thing when it comes to marketing: Asserting one’s authenticity feels, well, inauthentic” (paragraph 7 ).

Base your analysis using a special ad campaign that you reference. You may use the one in your previous journal entry, but avoid using the ones that the author gave you such as Mastercard and Nike. We have prepared for much of this essay already as you have written a thesis, summary and evidence. You may use all of your journal entries and assignments completed thus far to shape your essay.

A title

Introduction (with title of article, and author, topic and your thesis consisting of 3 grounds)

A definition of “authentic” as it relates to the topic

A brief summary of Mattila’s article with his main claim

A body paragraph for each one of your grounds

Evidence to support your claims using an ad campaign of your choice

A conclusion
