For this assessment, you will analyze the stakeholders that Vila Health Independence Medical Center must recognize as it adjusts to, changes, upgrades and implements your recommendations to the EHR or HIM systems. You will want to refer to the recommendations you made in the first assessment as well as any feedback that you have received from your instructor.

For this deliverable, you will write a 3–5-page executive summary detailing your previous recommendations and how you timeline for them. Additionally, you will analyze how your recommendations impact considerations such as resource allocation, training, and workflow changes, as well as best practices for overcoming implementation barriers. Finally, you will complete the Stakeholder Matrix Template, and align critical success factors with the primary internal and external stakeholders. Stakeholder Matrix Template

For this assessment, you will be evaluated on the following criteria:

• Describe the relevant stakeholders related to an impact analysis.

Data analysis can be roughly divided into two large categories: confirmatory data analysis (CDA) and exploratory
data analysis (EDA). CDA is focused on testing theories. Does a set of data conform to the outcomes specified by
some theory? For example, the general theory of relativity predicts that time on a satellite orbiting the earth will not
be synchronous with time passing on earth because the time bending influence of gravity on the satellite is a quarter
of what it is on earth. If we compare time on 40 atomic clocks aboard satellites to 40 atomic clocks on earth, we
expect the mean time of the first 40 to be different that the latter 40. We could use a t test to critically examine these
results. That makes a t test a CDA statistics.

In contrast, EDA does not start with a theory. Instead, it explores data to find patterns and then suggests theoretical
notions that might be tested with CDA (on different data). EDA now goes by the term ‘data mining’ and its utility
for marketing, consumer profiling, understanding linguistic shifts, and so on has been amply demonstrated over the
past couple decades. This paper requires you to engage in a simple version of EDA.

Unlike paper one, there is no central question for you to answer in this paper. Rather, I want you to explore
the connection between political ideology and each of five demographic variables often thought to be important
determinants of social attitudes – gender, income, race, and education. For this paper, you must produce:

• good univariate description of the measure of political ideology (IDEOCONSIST),
• a table summarizing central tendency and dispersion statistics for political ideology disaggregated by values of
  the other five variables (AGE, SEX, INC, RACIAL, EDUC),
• t tests or Wilcoxon tests of differences between the two values of dichotomous variables,
• t tests or Wilcoxon tests of differences between selected values of categorical variables with more than two values,
• appropriate correlation and regression statistics for differences over values of measurement data,
• appropriate tables or graphics presenting these bivariate statistics, and
• accompanying text turning all of these elements into a coherent description of variation in political ideology by
  demographic category.
  I’ve pushed back the due date a bit to give us more time to cover things. I’m also going to try to touch on these
  data as we learn some of the techniques I ask you to produce in the paper. I hope this gives you more opportunity to
  conceptualize the paper, something that I think was a problem with paper one.
  The following pages contain descriptions of the variables I’ve included in our dataset, but the this is just a small subset

This codebook describes the five variables I’d like you to use for this paper. You need to understand the data well
in order to work with them easily. This is especially true for the variable measuring political ideology. That one is
somewhat complicated in its composition but is key to this paper. All this is to say that you should ask plenty of
questions about these data before tackling the analysis and writing of the paper.

IDEOCONSIST This is a ratio-level measure of liberal to conservative ideology. It ranges from -10 (most liberal in
attitude) to 10 (most conservative in attitude). Because this is the primary variable I want you to explore, it’s useful
to know a bit about how this index was created. Essentially, ten questions asked of all respondents and they were given
two choices for response – a liberal answer and a conservative answer. Liberal answers were each given the value -1.
Conservative answers were each given the value 1. If I respondent answered all 10 questions with the liberal response,

they would score a -10 on the index. A completely consistent conservative would score a 10. Respondent who got
a 0 had half liberal and half conservative answers. Respondents also sometimes did not answer a question or circled
both responses. In such cases, the respondent was given a 0 on this item. The questions used for this index are given
verbatim below.

Purpose

This semester you will be asked to conduct and synthesize academic research, apply it in a practical way to improve your communication and an interpersonal relationship in your life, and write about the process and impact this experience will have on you. The culmination paper is your demonstration of what you will learn in this course.

Task

The culmination paper involves the entire semester and several steps. First, you will be choosing an established relationship in your life to evaluate and improve on this semester (friendship, family relationship or romantic partner) and documenting your communication interactions with this person. As we progress through the class, you will choose a communication skill that you’d like to work on in this relationship (listening skills, emotion management, conflict management, verbal skills, or nonverbal skills). You will also identify one part of being a competent communicator (self-awareness or empathy) that is vital to improving this skill. You will research the two topics you chose, come up with a plan to make improvements in your communication and your relationship, and apply these concepts to your life, enacting your plan and documenting the progress.

Your final paper will be 5-7 pages typed, double-spaced, with at least 4 sources (of which 2 are scholarly and 1 is a TED talk or podcast) formatted in APA with an annotated bibliography. Throughout the entire paper, bold your chosen communication skill and area of competence. While this paper is worth the most points in the class, you will be working on it throughout the semester in stages, turning in pieces of the paper to be evaluated. If you stay on task this semester, by the time the final paper is completed towards the end of the semester, you will have had plenty of opportunity for feedback.
