Drugs, alcohol, vaping, and smoking, and their influence on teens and young adults are the political topics I will explore this semester. These issues are essential to me since the number of kids and young adults who smoke, vape, drink, or use drugs increases every year, increasing teen and young adult death rates, further limiting the success and productivity of my generation. All of these challenges impact our society at the local, state, and national levels. Some teenagers, for example, do not attend school or skip classes to smoke, vape, do drugs, or drink, preventing them from receiving an education and taking advantage of the myriad options that life has to offer. These concerns must be addressed in-depth to save our teen and young adult populations and set them on the path to a prosperous and productive future.
