1. Describe three leadership practices of the current primary leader of the existing organization. (Kevin Johnson: CEO of Starbucks)

• Provide an informed, specific description of the leadership practices of the leader you report to.
  Make sure to number/list the three leadership practices so that it is clear what the leader’s practices (behaviors/actions/characteristics) are within the organization. Write a separate paragraph on each practice.
  NOTE: A Leadership Practice (or function) is different than a Leadership Theory. This section, A2, only discusses practice, NOT theory. See Course Tips for videos on practices.
  A leadership practice is a combination of leadership responsibilities, the performance of the responsibility and its unique value to the organization. A practice is the routine leadership functions your leader performs in the capacity of their leadership responsibilities. It is any and all functions they are required to perform as per their leadership obligations. You want to avoid generic descriptions such as being a good communicator and instead provide illustrations of actual leadership practices/functions that your leader performs daily, weekly, or routinely.
  For example: one leadership practice of the CEO is to provide “strategic leadership” to the organization. In the performance of this responsibility, the CEO shaped the formation of the organization’s vision and mission, while facilitating strategy formulation and strategy implementation. The value of strategic leadership is determining the organization’s direction by effectively managing the organization’s resources in pursuit of the organization’s vision. (This is a small draft of the leadership practice narrative. You are required to go further in depth illustrating how the individual performs the leadership responsibility and the value it provides to the organization).

My paper is about “The Yellow Wallpaper” from Charlotte Perkins Gilman and do a research to find some connections between the novel and Chauvinism. Remember to use the files about my research proposal and annotated bibliography I attached.

Purpose and Instructions: The literary research paper functions as a capstone project, in that it requires the student’s highest level of writing and critical thinking skills. The student is required to choose a text from the class readings and analyze the text from a variety of perspectives and contexts. The student should draw their own conclusions as to the impact of the topic on literature of the period, as well as the impact of the historical context on the text itself.

A literary research paper is a compilation and interpretation of a text and of critics’ opinions on a specific subject in a literary work. Since the selection of materials is filtered and processed by the writer, the paper reflects the author’s views also; hence, it is both objective and subjective in content. Because the paper expresses the writer’s opinions, s/he must find a topic of interest from a work that s/he has read and examined.

The paper should be 5-7 pages and should be argumentative. The student must take a stance on the text they have chosen and defend it. The paper should include references from the primary text and from at least 5-7 secondary sources. The paper should contain both in-text citations and a works cited page.

  • Final Document: Submit your Health Promotion Campaign Document by December 4, 2018 at the beginning of class. This final document combines steps 1-5 and should be no more than 6 pages in length (double-spaced, Times New Roman, 12 pt font, 1 inch margins). Health promotion materials should be included as an appendix. The final document seamlessly combines the 5 steps in a logical manner so that someone who was not part of the campaign development could read your paper and know exactly what to do.
